What on earth makes you think:

- that there can be high court charges for her to pay?
- that someone who lives in Turkey cares about a CCJ at an English address?
- that a person can be STOPPED ON ENTRY to the UK over a scam CCJ?

None of the above is possible.

I don't understand, are you driver A or B? Did they live in the same house, is that how come driver B has opened post presumably addressed to Driver A?

Why would you be "stopped" for a CCJ? Its an entirely civil matter! Stop panicking.

Let her know about the claim.
Ask her if you can file the application on her behalf, disputng jurisdiction, and see what happens. Whil ethe CCBC may not actually process the application, unless £100 is paid for it (she might get help with fees, if she is on low income) but at least it has been lodged. You coudl then, with her permission, run the defence from this end - a simple "the defendant is outside the jurisiction of the court, as they live
at FULL SERVICEABLE ADDRESS, TURKEY" may do it

YOU have no standing to do ANYTHING in this matter by yourself, without her authority. The court will not listen to you and will not ring smoeone in turkey!

Im driver B and the current owner of the car she is driver A who was the owner at the same time of the contravention. She used to be a tenant in my house so the car was registered at my address when she owned it and it got moved to my name after purchase.

If you have the phone number of the person in Turkey, can't you ring her and get the address?

Ok so I just rang and spoke to Driver A. She said that she doesnt want me to provide them with her contact number or address in Turkey. She saidjust ring the court or euro services and tell them you werent the keeper and the driver of the car at the time. The lady who was the keeper at the time no longer resides at this address and i have no information about her.

To be honest I dont think her suggestion is a smart one. What do you guys think?

Never mind what the lady in Turkey wants. She is safe whatever happens.

The named Defendant is Driver A who is the lady that used to be a tenant at my address. I purchased the car from her before she left and moved to Turkey. Its only after she had left that i started getting these letters in her name. There is no where on the claim that has my name Driver B.

Well, you could send a copy of the Claim (keep the original, be nice to her in that respect) to the CCBC and to the Claimant, saying that the Defendant lives in Turkey - no forwarding address available but Turkey is her permanent domicile - and is outside of court jurisdiction.

State that the current tenant is sending this information for 3 reasons:

- to alert the Claimant and Court that the Defendant is out of jurisdiction, and
- to save wasting the court's time and resources, and
- to stop this paperwork and possibly later, a bailiff being sent to this address, harassing the residents who are not related in any way to this person.

Sign it with an unreadable squiggle and the postal address, and get proof of posting at the local PO, for both letters, and keep that certificate stapled to a copy of the letter and the Claim form original.

Also make sure you have your ducks in a row as regards the date of purchase of the car from her. I am concerned that if this claim proceeds, there will be a CCJ which affects no-one (neither you nor her) but that if the PPC try to enforce it and send bailiffs to your house looking for Ms Turkey, they will see *that car* and will clamp it and will want you to produce proof of ownership on the spot to get it unclamped.

A nasty thought. Give that some thought.

Stop that immediately, as if a bailiff later rocks up and gains entry, they will find those and it's then evidence she lives there/uses the address. Stop that!
