The EU are apparently well down the path of doing what they do best - issuing directives which everyone is compelled to obey
This time is on speed limiters - we await an EU parliament full vote later this month on it.
The proposals are:
In three years time all new cars to be fitted with black boxes recording your every move plus also lane assist and the important one: speed limiters slaved to the GPS determined speed limit in force on the road at the time. OK you can override it - recorded by the black box of course for direct download to DVLA later and an automatic speeding fine though the post......0 -

Struth. I can't imagine ever buying a car with one of those gadgets. I guess old cars will suddenly become more valuable.
