Hmm, wonder if this is a trend to come...
Just had a letter from Goldfish saying "Your Morgan Stanley card credit limit has been reduced from £4,400 to £500."
Guess that's what happens when you get cashback and pay it off in full...
Yes, it's becoming more common - we're sending very similar letters to quite a lot of our customers too. They LOVE it....."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Just to the buy and pay-off crowd or to everyone? They LOVE it.....
It doesn't bother me much actually. I'd pretty much decided to get rid of them a while ago. Basically they'd screwed up once too often and I'm getting somewhat less tolerant of companies screwing up.
But I need to wait for the anniversary to get my cashback out. Which isn't much - and certainly not worth the aggro I've had with them.
Wish I could give BT the finger too..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'
"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky." OMD 'Julia's Song'0 -
Zed - with us it's not based on whether or not you pay it off, but on a complex matrix (allegedly) that we are not allowed to see, that takes into account income and overall borrowing levels. Not sure what other companies are basing it on though."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Scarily, I'm just debating going back to BT so we can have the Sky See Surf and Spend-a-lot package, and get rid of Virgin Media."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Are they really bad? It's just it would cost me £37 a month for what I'm currently paying £40-odd for (and then there's the Quidco incentive, if that's still on by the time I get round to doing it)."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Could somebody please advise me if I am wrong or not, basically its Sams birthday today and a card hadn't arrived from MIL so OH phoned her up to see if she was coming tonight - we like to be forwarned you see. She said no, so andy asked her when she was going to give sam a card/present and she said she wasnt as she has 6 grandsons ( 1of which is Sam) 3 are andys brothers and his wifes and the other two are andy half sisters (MIL remarried and had her) so she was now only buying for his half-sisters two boys as they belonged to andys step-father which is bad enough but she said as Mollie was the only grand-daughter she would be buying her presents etc.
Now I know I have no right to talk as my mother is/can be a cow but she wouldnt miss either of her grandchildrens birthdays/christmas etc and she wouldnt do one without the other ITMS but I think this is totally out of order and Andy is fuming and has told her not to bother with Mollie if she isnt going to with Sam. I dont see why sam has to be treated differently to his cousins even though they dont have the same grandfather.
Am I wrong - I know its expensive having 7 grandchildren but surely they should be all treated the same????? Its not as if thye are short of money but thats beside the point, She didnt even have to buy him a present - just send a card????????? What I am going to say to Sam when he gets home from school??? I'm really angry and need some advice before I blow my top  She has always maintained that Andrew and his brother have always been treated the same as his half sister ( a lie!!!!) but now shes treating our son and by the sounds of it Andys brothers boys different0 -

No Weller, you're not wrong - I know you can't force anyone into buying a present for your child, but what she is doing - buying for one but not the other - is completely outrageous and pretty heartless.
I would tell her (or rather get Andy to tell her) that she either buys for both or neither.
