parking eye....popla appeal

Hi,
I recently received a PCN through the post from Parking eye for an overstay on a retail park Car park.
The allowed free duration was 3hrs, the actual stay was 3hrs 19mins. There are multiple shops on this retail park and just lost track of time. Unfortunately no receipts are available for any purchases made at the time.
We put an appear in through parkingeye website using the template off here and they returned a POPLA code.
I can't seem to find examples of free car park over stays so not sure how to base my appeal.
Could anyone help?
Thanks

You really MUST do the retailer complaint the NEWBIES thread tells you to do first.
NEVER rush a POPLA appeal v ParkingEye without exhausting the easier route first.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ok thank you. How long do I get to file my POPLA? I don't want to run out of time while I approached the retailers.
Thank you0 -
Maximum, 32 days, as said all over this forum pretty much every day.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry coupon-mad, it must be annoying.
Sorry again0 -
Hi guys, so I approached the pet shop and sports shop and both would only support or help with a cancellation if I could evidence that I used their services. Unfortunately I'm unable to locate any receipts that correlate. They wouldn't accept a photo of my fish that I bought lol.
I will need to return and photograph signage etc for my appeal. As I am 19mins over am I best playing on the grace period part of it? Or does that no longer work?0 -
19 minutes is above most grace periods arguments.
Honestly, press the complaint further. Send a photo of your fish to the pet shop Head Office and say how upset you are that the Store said they could cancel this PCN, but wouldn't, and have left you to the mercy of a company who sue people. etc.
POPLA MUST WAIT FOR NOW. Mainly because complaint is far more likely to work.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry but I've had no luck, the shops are not taking me on. I'm concerned I'm running out of time to do anything.
Should I do a POPLA or just drop it and pay up?0 -
Do the PopLA appeal.
You've had three weeks, show us your draft when you are ready.
What is the date of your letter that contained your PoPLA code?0 -
