Urgent Help Please

Hi All,
I've read the newbies stickies, but unfortunately arrived at the forum a bit late.
We have residents parking where I live, I have been issued with a permit. In December I received a letter to advise of a parking charge for failing to display it -In the pics you can clearly see my permit on the dashboard - however their argument was that it had slipped forward slightly so wasn't 100% on display. (Like i'd have any other small green square of card in my dashboard!).
I logged on to their website to appeal it (hence the not finding this forum early enough) and just never heard anything back - so I thought they'd just got rid of it. Next thing I know I've received a letter today from Ultimate Customer Solutions telling me LPS have passed them my info - the charge has now increased from £60 - £160 and I have 14 days to pay or court action.
As I didn't see this forum/thread before appealing initially - what can I do now. I was thinking about phoning the parking company - but quickly realised from this thread this wasn't the right way to go!
Any help / direction would be greatly appreciated. I'm sorry if I've missed something in other threads which applies, so even if its a link that would be helpful!
Thanks

You are now at the debt collectors stage.
Post #4 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread offers comprehensive guidance on how to deal with debt collectors letters.
To summarise that post - ignore debt collectors letters.
Please post again on this thread if ever you receive either a Letter of Claim or official court correspondence if you still need help after having read post #2 of the NEWBIES thread.0 -
Thanks Keith - I might have mistyped it actually - On reading the letter now - it just says its a Final Demand for Payment. Is that the same thing?0

UCS are mere powerless debt collectors , hence they added their £60 to the alleged charge
IGNORE
so as above, see post #4 of that NEWBIES thread
in addition to the above, COMPLAIN LOUDLY to the M.A. and get the pcn cancelled. the parking company are there to deter outsiders, not prey upon residents0 -

Makes no difference.
Prepare yourself to receive a "final final demand" followed by a "this really is your last chance" demand.
One thing is very certain - this issue is not Urgent.0 -
No more urgent then this pointless thread:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5969282/urgent-secure-a-space-permit-shown-no-windscreen-pcn-yet-fined-120
At least it's only little old LPS (is that Local Parking Security, or London Parking Solutions?). Both are small fry and unlikely to be able to hold a registered keeper liable, IMHO.
At 'ignore the debt collector' stage, there is no need for any thread, if a person has read the NEWBIES thread. No phoning debt collectors. Ignore them.
This is very clear in the 4th post of the sticky thread and needs no repeating.
What you should be doing is reading plenty of other residential threads and asking yourself why you all agreed to display permits at your own home?
And if you have an allocated bay, then opt it OUT of the scheme immediately, do NOT accept the imposition of a scammer on an allocated, demised or owned bay. Don't accept the contract being foisted upon you - we've found it is better to distance your bay, if you have a 'bay'.
Read the thread by safarmuk who - after 2 years hard work - got his PPC scammer kicked out of the location. Consider involving the other residents in lobbying the Managing Agent and getting the PPC removed. You DO NOT need one.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
