Morning everyone.
Happy birthday ScarletRibbons, I wish you a wonderful day, hope there's cake!
There are birds twittering away outside again, it's so lovely to hear them.
My drive home yesterday was a rain-sodden affair and more fell overnight. So far it's dry today, probably won't last.
I went to bed fairly early to watch a couple of recorded programmes. Now I'm still a'bed though I've been pottering around the bedroom clearing out / tidying up a drawer of clutter. Baby steps seems to be the way for me to do it. I've parcelled up a book to send to a friend and written a postcard for someone else.
My day will be fairly chilled, there's plenty of soup to have and some liver with veg for main meal. Nothing too difficult to rustle up.
I hope everyone is doing OK and wish you all a happy Sunday.0 -
Back to wish SCARLET RIBBONS a happy birthday. My birthday in March and I am a couple of years ahead of you!
I need some GUAG. I keep looking out of the window at the back wilderness with its falling down fence and feel overfaced before I start. I invested in some expensive patio cleaning fluid last Spring and it wasn't worth the money! So it will be back to elbow grease. I know Rome wasn't built in a day but I am rubbish at pacing myself and just want the job over and done with."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Morning All
I slept really well last night, woke up at 5.30 but went back to sleep until just before 8, feel great this morning.
The washing was all dried by lunchtime yesterday, bedding back on the bed and everything put away. It started to rain heavily about 1pm and carried on throughout the night. It's dry now so hopefully we'll have a nice day.
I'm going for something to eat with DD later in Glasgow but first I must apply for my Australian visa, been putting it off for a week!
Happy Birthday ScarletRibbons, have a lovely day.
Enjoy Sunday, take care. XX0 -
Just a quick one as we'll be setting off for a flying visit to Yorkshire shortly. We heard from a neighbour while Steve was in hospital that the lilac tree in the front came down in the recent winds. Couldn't do anything about it then so we'll have to see if we can do anything with it. Luckily it didn't damage anything and is out of the way on the drive.0

Thanks for the thread Holly and happy birthday Scarlett Ribbons, hugs to all those in need.
My house is sold, all done and dusted now I hope, we have money in the savings for our next boat, some to invest in a BTL property and some to live on.
Is CHS happy now, no he's not, hey ho.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Morning all
Lovely bright breezy day here got a towel wash to hang out and the bedding is in the wm that can be hung out for a while too.
We had a lovely tapas type dinner last night, I had some bits lurking in the fridge that needed using so I did a pizza cut into small pieces, I cooked some meatballs in a hm tomato sauce with lots of cheese made a warm salad with fried mushrooms and onions and some hm garlic bread it was very tasty and nothing left, OH loved ittonight im going to do some jacket spuds with ham cheese salad etc there is also a pot of chilli in the freezer which OH can have on his, so a nice easy dinner.
Going to hoover my car out this morning and clean the inside OH will wash It for me as its quite dirty, we will then take the pup for a nice walk and maybe stop for a swift gin on the way home
TA any luck with a Roger ? if I were you I would get a fencing company round first to get the fence done and out of the way, then look for your Roger to help you tidy, I wish I was nearer and could help you xx
Right I NEED some boiled eggs and soldiers :j
Have good days all xx
And Happy Birthday to Scarlett xx :beer:0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Happy birthday Scarlett.
We have heavy mist, hopefully it will burn off and we will have a nice afternoon. The heating is off, if I am cold I will put a fleece on rather than turn the heat up.
Hooray Hester, so glad everything has gone to plan. Here's to you finding another boat before too long, mind you, there will not be as much to shift as there was when you moved out of your house!!
Our usual late start this morning, I had been wanting to get into the cupboards in the back bedroom to sort out and make enough room for a big stockpile, that's now done and dusted. I am going to Morrison tomorrow whilst OH is at evergreens to do a store cupboard shop, just in case. Not just brexit, but in case we get bad weather and I am unable to drive, so dual purpose.
My wrist is not really getting any better, physio is thinking about referring me back to the GP. We will see.
TA - I second getting the fence sorted first, otherwise the garden you have tidied will get trampled and it will have to be done again.
I did manage to get 3 blocks cut out and one put together yesterday, want to finish it today and start assembling the quilt top, then I can put it away for a while, birthday is not until November.
I took gammon out of the freezer for supper tonight, will have it with spuds steamed in their skins, veg and parsley sauce. Banana and ice cream for dessert I think.0 -
Good morning all
The sun has got his hat on again :j.
I did all the washing yesterday and even threw in the scatter cushion covers. The house is back to normal except the day bed has to be put back up, but it's just too heavy for me on my own. I shall have to enlist some muscle....... oh well Mr Fix It will have to do :rotfl:. He's certainly made the bed sturdy and to last us out, unfortunately it weighs a blummin ton .
I've had a bit of a tussle with the DW last night, and again this morning as it wouldn't finish it's cycle completely ( got down to 1min  ). So this morning I played troubleshooter and switched it off and unplugged it, checked the filters then plugged it back in. It's now working, but whether it will end the cycle is anyone's guess.
Dad is due for lunch and I have already prepped the veg, we are having beef and yorkies. mmmmm . Tea will be sandwiches and welsh cakes.
ScarletR hope you have a lovely birthday. :bdaycake:
dp1 hope your DGD can come home tomorrow.
Have a good Sunday all
