First service and warranty

look in the handbook, but I would think if service intervals are 12 months that it will be from date of first registration.0

My car has a service indicator which alerts me to the fact that they believe a service needs doing. It takes into account both time and miles (12500)0

I'd say reg date is the key, not the purchase date0

I bought a pre reg in May 16, registered end March 16. Dealer told me on collection service was due every March or 10k miles, whichever was soonest. Assuming that follows standard format I’d assume you’d be looking at March for your service too.0

Definitely from registration. It's one of the downsides of buying a pre-reg.Bought my Qashqai 15/6/18 that was pre-registered 31/3/18. To ensure warranty conditions are met when should the first service be? 12 months from regiatration or purchase?
Thanks
The warranty also runs from registration.0 -
Pre-registered for 3 months. The dealer must have been relieved to offload that car."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Autotrader lists 492 cars registered in 2018, with less than 100 miles.
... and 35 from 2017.
... and 18 from 2016 !
(OK, so some of those will have been wrongly listed by dealers who haven't actually put the mileage in correctly - but there can be some very old pre-regs out there)

I'm guessing this one is not registerable in the UK or EU due to the emissions being too high
