Hey guys so I have until the 1st August to fully submit my witness statement. Firstly I wanted to confirm I will send it to my local courts email address which I already have.. then in regards to sending it to VCS does that have to be by post or can it be by their email address

Also I’m getting late for my witness statement (I know)... Struggling on what to say if I be honest, my defence mainly targeted the charge notice piece of paper that they leave on your windscreen. I also targeted about their signage how it was really dark in that car park... they came back with pictures of signage in the dark with flash and you can see them...

By reading POFA 2012 on the sticky I have discovered:

If a windscreen ticket was given (yes in my case) then the NTK needs to be given on day 29 - 57.

My case: They issued a (this is not a parking charge notice) then issued a NTK [7 DAYS AFTER CONTRAVENTION].

So am I right by saying they didn’t follow POFA 2012 - the NTK ticks all the boxes so they got that right but do you think I can mention this in my witness statement which is due in like two days!!!! (HELP
NEEDED)

Furthermore if they didn’t follow POFA 2012 I believe they can’t hold keeper liability - please can someone help and clarify this.

Just wondering do you guys have any links to witness statements for the VCS ‘this is not a parking charge’ defence or similar? Couldn’t seem to see a witness statement for the relevant case on the sticky thread to have a look through.

The example WS linked in the NEWBIES thread are minuscule compared with what you will find when you simply search the forum (which we won't do for people)!

There are literally hundreds of recent VCS WS thread posts for you to read, just waiting for you to search & find them.

Just received witness statement documents through post today from claimant, seems like they’ve attacked every point of my defence and appointed a paralegal who just started working July 2019 lol :-). Guessing he/she are a special just for me

Why not do what I keep telling people to do, search for the OBVIOUS keywords, the surname of one of the cases VCS regurgitate every time in this tedious template of trash they spout, plus the word 'Witness'?

Bumping your thread in the Summer hols will get you nowhere fast, and searching takes seconds. You will see what I mean when you search properly and change the default ADVANCED search to 'show results as posts' (clearly not as 'threads'!).

Coupon-mad or anyone I am almost done drafting my witness statement, have tried to include as many points as I could whilst trying to stay precise. Please can someone URGENTLY have a quick look over - mock it, let your heart out before the end of 31st July as tomorrow is the day I need to hand this to both the court and VCS ; (who i'm thinking of handing the witness statement in person in Sheffield - good idea? or not?)

I would really appreciate if someone could have a check for me before today, I know its summer and probs not the best of times for you guys to be online! Much appreciated
