How much compost ?
We have a garden planter to fill with compost
The internal size being 20cm deep by 80cm wide by 1.4 metres long
To me - that looks like 224 litres
but composr is sold in 50 litre cubes in B&Q
No way do I need 5 of them - they are clearly compressed - but how compressed are they ?

I've never tried to work it out, but I find you usually need more than you think!
and you can never have enough compost even if you don't use 5 bags....0 -
Don't forget to add drainage. 4 bags should do it0

3 x 75 lit compost bags would also do the trick.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Have you watered it yet ?
Once watered in it'll be a lot less fluffy and you may need to top up - even if you've tamped it down already
Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?0 -
No - the rain has done that for me.0

Ah yes, the twisted tape measure syndrome, MIL does it all the time when knitting. Her jumpers do turn out funny.:rotfl::rotfl:I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
