Morning. Dd and I went to a 21st party last night it was good I did book a taxi for 10-45 as I didn’t want to be too late home. I did have to have a shower and wash my hair as I sat near the fire pit outside for a while and all I could smell was smoke Today I want to go shopping to the next town I will go on the bus as parking there is very hard to find and cost a lot as a lot of tourist go there I will get dd up to go soon. It does have a nice park as well so might go for an ice cream by the river the weather is nice again0

Morning everyone
Scarlet - according to the paperwork there's only designated Post Offices that are able to take the relevant photos and deal with the paperwork - not all Post Offices have the facility to do that! It's a real shame as I have a Post Office in my village that I walk out of my front door and across the road! It's a real con because if you renew on-line it's £14 but to do it at the designated Post Office it's £21.50 and you have to travel to get there and have a new photograph.
Keep safe and well x

nmlc, we renewed our passports online recently and took our own photos on the smartphone. It's cheaper than doing it manually and it took less than a week to get the new passports (you have to send your old one back). We renewed early because we wanted the maroon EU passports again!
Congratulations to you and your , Camelot. I remember the sickness well, I had it for 9 months with Laura, any time of day, bleurgh.
Talking of Laura, it's her birthday today - 36, where has the time gone.
We'll probably be going over to see Chris today, we'll go for a shortish walk. Steve is trying to build his strength back up, he finished his antibiotics yesterday so hopefully the infection has totally gone.0 -
Morning folks.
I've been MIA for a couple of days, just been busy and tired. Can't wait for Spring to arrive, I'll feel better then. I seem to wind down in winter, maybe it's my age!
On Thursday I drove down to DM's after work so wasn't here until 7pm'ish.
Yesterday she wanted to go out shopping so we went to three shops. Of course, it all took ages as she's so slow now, the upside is that she enjoyed being outside and I managed to read a chunk of my book.
May 'English' nephew was in Glasgow for business yesterday so he and I went out for the evening. We ended up in a lovely Indian restaurant on Byres Road and then a final drink in a pub with the smallest bar In Scotland. :rotfl: I haven't been out like that for yoinks and yoinks so really enjoyed myself. Also had my first drink since early January and ate too much too late.
Now I'm still lazing in bed for a bit gearing up for the final bit of shopping before going home.
Camelot - such wonderful news, I hope DD feels better soon.
Happy Saturday to everyone.0 -
Morning (((((((((((Hugs)))))))))) if you need one......Congratulations Camelot. I suffered with sickness through all of my pregnancies, horrid.
Lovely day with my friend yesterday, good journey's both ways, no hold ups, although we did get held up in melton, a car had partly gone under a lorry, there did not appear to be any injuries.
The good weather is supposed to continue, its very foggy this morning, we cannot see the top of the hill opposite the village.
Need to sort out something for supper, think it might be liver and sausage.0 -
Morning all
Camelot congratulations !! I must admit the thought had crossed my mind that she might be expectingits wonderful news, I was very sick for the whole of my pregnancy with dd its very tiring and wipes you out but it is all worth it in the end xx
NMLC I had to do that last year and went to four different post offices (after checking online that they did the service), before I found one that did !!
Off food shopping with dd today while OH fixes the toilet upstairs, something has gone wrong with the non return valve or something and we are getting all the smells from the drains in the bathroom _pale_ which is not nice !!
Washing on the go and another two loads to go in might be able to hang it out today :j
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning campers Hi-Di-Hi !!
The sun is shining and it's breezy :j.
I slept 12 hrs last night and I will admit I haven't long risen, the result of not sleeping much the night before. Anyway the spare beds have already been stripped and the WM is on. Hopefully the bedding will dry on the whirly today.
The rest of today will be cleaning/tidying up after the DGC.
I need to sort my fridge too as there are lots of bits and pieces of food in containers and it's all higgledy-piggledy. I think it's the first time DGS hasn't cleared the lot...... either that or I bought waaay too much :rotfl:.
Mr Fix It has been out shopping for drawer runners so he has now decamped to his shed. He's making himself a new cabinet to hold more tools.
I suppose I'd better get dressed then hang the first load of washing out.
Camelot many congratulations and I hope the sickness dies down soon.
Have a good Saturday everyone and I hope you enjoy your day whatever you are doing.
