new brake pads & discs cost

as above how much would it approx cost to get new brake pads & discs fitted? So i know if the garage is trying to rip me off. One of the car's i have my eye on has it down as an advisory on recent MOT, one of my previous cars got this job done by kwikfit passengers side & drivers side were done on separate occasions (someone later told me they should have been done together). QwikFit charged over £400 each time for it but I later heard it should have only been about £200 (incl labour). Depending on how much it is actually meant to cost then i might consider getting the car i have my eye on but naturally if it's going to be over £800 (as I was) then I wouldn't get the car.

What car? It's going to cost more on a Maserati than a Fiat.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

I believe the bill is bigger on a Bentley than a Beetle. But considerably cheaper on a Corsa than a Corvette.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0

Well avoid taking your car to Kwik Fit (and Halfords) for a start.0

Between 100 quid and 70,000( Bugatti Veyron)0

If it's on a potential new purchase try to negotiate either new pads and discs or a discount.
Have a look online for how much they cost (euro car parts or similar) and add maybe 2 or 3 hours labour.0 -
£250 if you're paying a garage isn't that far off. A set of mid-range discs and pads for my car is £104 then there's the fitting at no more than 2hrs.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Check the fixed pricing on the Vauxhall website, I just did a quick comparison front and back discs and pads around £480 for a Corsa.0
