Thank you
I'm on £242 so far so got a bit to go yet to top last month but I'm going to try!
I love the idea of having Avon parties, i'm going to wait a few months so I can spread the cost of buying demo products but I'm definitely going to start having them in the summer.
Winewhisky - The spa idea is great, I'm going to use this when I start doing them :T
Lara17 - I think the key is to make them fun, I went to a Body Shop party recently and the girl who did it was really nice but it's just not that fun sitting around watching somebody get a facial. So I'd say lots of games, revolved around the products of course
I also find it really boring (and so do my friends) when at these kind of parties (ann summers, body shop etc) you have to sit around and listen to the companies background, values, them trying to recruit you etc. I'd rather just look at the products, play some games, have a drink and something to eat! Think happy & you'll be happy

Yea was thinking of doing a raffle and some silly games! Im thinking about asking other customers too but im only 18 and abit nervous doing a party in a completely strange house and nt knowing anyone!! Atleast the party in may is for close friends and their friends so wont be as awkward!
Ive been researching on the net this afternoon and i read something about a catalogue party --Whats this?!?!?0 -

I've never heard of a catalogue party
I'm going to do the parties just for friends/family at first to build my confidence and to get feedback so when I do them for customers they're really good. I'm hoping i'm going to build a good customer base so I will offer the parties to regular customers once I've done a few for friends/family then I will branch out to people I don't know.
Maybe if you don't feel comfortable going to peoples houses on your own, why not take a reliable friend who could be your "assistant"? And maybe as a thank you let them have some free stuff out of the brochure or give them part of the money you earn that night.
I think I'd do a raffle, play some games like bingo and maybe even something daft like pass the parcel! Then i'd get everyone to put the face mask on, maybe play a daft game while everybody has got a face mask on because we all know you can't speak or laugh while you've got those on :rotfl:Then have something to eat. And hopefully while people were eating they could be flicking through the brochures that would be conveniently lay around on every available service!
I really do love the Spa idea, why didn't I think of that:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy

I like the idea of pass the parcel! Any other game ideas? I was thinking something like a quiz might be good but not sure how to tie it into Avon/spa theme.
I'm up to £95 in orders but this is my first campaign and I've only done my street so far. I've got most of the brochures back and left them in the next street in my territory so hopefully get some orders from those. I want to order the £10 samples bag offered to new reps - anyone know if that will count towards my target? Next campaign I've have more time and can cover the rest of my territory I've not managed yet so hopefully can build things up over time. Then for campaign 10 the party is a good excuse to show Avon to friends, bound to get some orders, and if it goes well they might be interested in holding parties for other friends etc. Just have to see how it goes.
So you see - that's my strategy worked out so far!0 -
Oh, bought a roll of 500 clear plastic bags from the market for £1 today - so that'll keep the rain off my catalogues.0

Not sure about the starter bag counting towards your total order value but I think it's definitely worth £10. I got a full sized bottle of Christian Lacroix Rouge in mine, that's worth £18 in the brochure! I also got a glazewear lipstick, some small paper bags, a packet of order forms and then some anew samples, lipstick samples, skin so soft, liiv botanicals and some others, can't remember which.
I only did half my territory on my first campaign, I have a huge territory and there was no way I could've done it all with 40 books in just over a week!! I'm working on the 2nd half this time around but because I've been ill loads this month  I haven't even done two of my biggest streets yet  Going to try and do them tomorrow.
Pass the parcel was always my fave game as a child so I am having it at my parties :rotfl: A quiz is a good idea, but I see your point about tying it into Avon.
I'm going to a little lucky dip thing, I haven't decided properly on all this but this is the rough idea...I have 20 envelopes, 5 of them have a "gift certificate" for values ranging from £1 to £10 and the rest are empty (hard luck, hehe) So i get £20 cash on the night, and whoever wins gets to spend their "gift certificates" in the brochure and hopefully it'll mean they definitely place an order. Do you think this is a good idea? Can you think of any ways to change it/make it better?
I'm so excited about doing these parties, I think I'm going to think about doing my first one early June, just for friends and family. Think happy & you'll be happy

Everything counts towards the total order value required to earn commission, even though some of the items themselves may not earn you commission.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
