Thanks KJ1980
I would just like to know how many people go and knock on people doors they don't know? and how much do you make? If you don't mind saying, it's just i really want to make something of this but i don't want to do it if you don't really make anything and i do understand everywhere is different it's just to give me some sort of idea.
Thanks
Hope your all doing well with book 60 -

Hi Angle08! I'm only on my second campaign - don't consider the first one counted anyhow as I only had a week!!!!
I don't knock on doors when I go around first of all, I put a brochure through the door with a tick box saying if they want to receive brochures regularly/have placed an order with me/have Avon from another rep/are not interested and leave a day when I'll go back and collect. I've found probably 75% of people leave it out, but for the other 25% I knock on the door and just say sorry to disturb you but wondered if you've finished with the Avon book and no-one has taken offence at that! If people aren't in when I go in, then I leave a calling card saying I'll come around on a set day and can they leave it outside. I've found I've gone back a second time and still nothing there so I've left another card and if still nothing there that time I leave a card saying if you want to order call/text/email me. I'll make sure I do them towards the end of my round the next campaign if there's a chance I won't get the book back.
I am hoping that my ladies will get into the routine of when I drop off/collect which will make it all easier. To start with there's a lot of donkey work like I'm doing now, but I know once I have my customer base it'll be much easier.
As for how much I earn, well this time I'm on £318 so will get over £70 commission which is much better than last time when I didn't even get to MOV (as I said I only had a week). I can't say what it will be like next time obviously, but I'm really enjoying getting out and about meeting new people and I'm so much fitter than I was lol! I take my son with me in the buggy so can stash the books underneath the buggy and we both benefit from the fresh air.
Hope that helps and good luck!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

Hiya, I hardly know anyone round here and so had to knock on doors for all my customers. Have just entered my 3rd campaign, but 1st campaign got approx £400 in orders, 2nd was about £250 (my son was ill) and this one, have just got 4 orders so far (just off ppl that ordered last time) but upto about 70 quid so far, so door knocking is definately the way to go.
People are lovely as well, even the ones that arent interested. Wish I had a quid for everyone that did the 'ding dong avon calling' joke tho lol
Give me a shout if ya need any info x0 -
I'm on my first campaign (7) and started with a territory. Knocking on doors whilst its daylight, but in the evening when its gone dark I just posted the book through the letter box.
My phrase is "Hi I'm Suzanne, and have just become an Avon rep for the area. Would you be interested in looking at a brochure?" If they say, 'No' then I say "That's fine, thank you very much and sorry to have bothered you." As yet, I've had no negative reaction to this.
Only covered half my territory, and already got 350 in orders. :j I'm leaving it now until next campaign, and then I'll canvass the other half (all houses) while just delivering to my customers in the first half.
Going to ask for another territory when am comes back with C8 books!

I have another question!!
Right, in campaign 7 in the 'for men' bit there is a buy one get one free offer.
What happens if i have more than one customer taking up on this order, as you only get the cheapest one free?
e.g. 1 persons buys 2 products for 7.95 - meaning they want one free for 7.95
but another buys two products which are £4 each - meaning they would get a £4 product free.
Would this not counteract each other? meaning i would have to take the two highest prices (7.95) even though it is two separate customers?
THANKS

Thanks everyone for ur reply's.
Well i have all my order's in and the total didn't get to £400.00 it got to £349.05 but thats great for me as my order has never been that big
So for book 7 i'm going to ask the girls in the shop i live on top of if they would like to have a look and start off with them then ask people that always order off of me. When i have everyone's order in i will post the books in peoples doors OMG just worried people wont pay ect, as i have only sent back 1 thing and i don't want to start. But if i want to make something of it i have to just but up with that sort of thing a, but i have have just started getting things for a rafle and the draw date will be book 10 some time in june but people love the idea of a rafle and i have people getting tickets that don't want to order off of me so fingers crossed they might like the stuff and start buying from a book.
Thanks
let me know how you get on0 -
Hi all,
I am onto my 2nd campaign and up to about £250.00 which I am pleased about.
Has anyone had a letter so say their delivery date has changed from Monday 31st to Saturday 29th? It might just be the courier in my area?
I also used the egg idea and supplied my customers last month with an easter egg, a little easter card thanking them for their support. It went down great! I also bought some sample perfume of Cynthia Rowleys Flowers which is lovely and picked up 2 orders of that, so that was worth it!
This month I have ordered some more perfume samples and the samples kit for £4.00 so will be dishing that out. I have just under 20 customers on this order so am hoping to get some more on next campaign, am really enjoying it so far. Have a good easter weekend everyone!0 -
Hi i had a letter saying the same thing, what part are you in?0

Just a question about returns, if a customer had ordered something and received a free gift (the beauty bonus), if they are returning the product do they need to return the free gift as well?0
