Thanks alot...thought so, wanted to be sure as everyone's going crazy for it!!
  • Hey Snug, yes its really easy. Basically you can always backorder one book. S this means that even if you are handing out camp 14, when you place your order for camp 14, you can still place an order from a camp 13 book. So if your customer orders a mascara for £8 from camp 14, and then you look in the camp 13 book and see it is half price at £4 , you can order this one (its the same product), as your customer is expecting you would charge her £8 and then you have made yourself an extra £4 that all adds up. Or it might be that the product the customer wants is in the previous camp on a "buy one get one free" offer. if that is the case then you could order from that book and keep the freebie for yourself or use as a gift.
Good or what?! lol Its defo a major perk of the job! xx
:happylove If you do what you've always done, you'll get where you've always got! :heartpuls
  • Also Mikki, yes the naturals thing did come with a yellow scrunchie thing but it looks really neat and round (not like the wibbly wobbly scrunchie things you get lol). I like it for the retro little bok it comes in really, just nice and simply but quite cute. xx

I have just moved house so a lot of the people that used to order from me are out of my area now. Has anyone got any good ideas for boosting my sales in my new area??

    xx
  • Thanks Liverpool Lou, I will do this in the future, but currently I am handing out my old c13's at the same time as the c14's. Hard to explain but i have a lot of houses who havent seen c13 yet, and as my area manager was very kind and gave me 40 extra c13s a while ago, I am still handing some out. So I cant look back to c12 to cross reference peoples orders if you understand what I mean.

What I am trying to work out is whether the orders i have already (the c13 ones) when added up together qualify me for any of the freebies (for example the buy 2 get one free offer on pages 26-43). but doing this is getting quite confusing lol.

Another thing... i got one seperate order for 152 today! im chuffed!! before now - my largest amount of total orders two campaigns ago was 180 and ive beaten this already! :) my area manager will be pleased with me lol.
Anyone found that the plump lipsticks have been popular? in the order I was just talking about, the lady has ordered 5 colours!

    Thanks alot!! :D

Also, does anyone know how to order he return papers?

    Thanks
  • well i've just come back to a pm about body shop as well. Yes i had a tough time with camp 12, but i dont think i ever said i'd give up! i've given myself to christmas with avon, and if i'm still not making anything i'll think about giving up.

But i am looking forward to camp 15 with that lovely book i really hope it pulls in some people.
I had another pretty awful camp 13, but i didn't put much into it, couldn't face knocking on all of the extra doors, so i just kept to those who'd ordered before. and then AGAIN someone ordered after i'd put my main order in, so i've had to do another additional order. *sigh*
but at least it's another order .. so tomorrow i'm going out to deliver books, and be positive!

I meant to reply about the sample of Magix face stuff. i quite liked it. I wouldn't call it a foundation for all, but more of a face base. it reminds me off Benefit's Dr Feelgood, only a more liquid version. certainly reduced shine for me anyway. This is the kind of thing i think could do well, not just another moisturiser that seems the same as all the others in the book, but with just another overly complicated name LOL
  • i quite liked that magix stuff too, wud hav been better i there was a lil more of it in the sampl tube tho. it reduced shine, and makes your skin feel smooth.

A lot of people write on here saying that they arent doing too well with Avon and making money? If people dont mind saying, are you struggling to get any commission at all? or not satisfied with the amount you are earning? If the latter is correct - how much do you get per campaign on average?
Ive done 2 campaigns so far, first one i made 44 quid, and the second one i made 19. This campaign (14 plus my 13 catalogues) ive already beaten those two but i dont want to jinx it.

I thought my area was going to be really hard to make any money with, as its mostly older people... but the area is quite well off aswell I think which helps ( i dunno what im doing here, I dont really fit in!). I know its a pain when you collect 20-40 catalogues with no orders at all, but i love it when you manage to seek out some customers :P

I used to be scared of going back to collect catalogues cos i didnt really like knocking on people's doors but i quite enjoy it now. Quite a lot of my customers will stop and have a chat when I go round.
Doing avon is good cos you will only come across a few people who are a bit offish with you. I started a job last week (and quit it soon after) that involved calling at peoples doors asking them to sign up to charities. with no basic pay! only commission! now thats a door to door sales job you dont want to do. I fully understand why people were stressy having charities knocking on their door... I would be the same. its just showed me that avon isnt nearly so bad lol - even if you dont earn much.

Sorry about the pointless ramble - i havent got much else to do this evening :)
  • HI

I have only been doing Avon for 2 campaigns also, in my first month ( books 10 & 11 ) i made £40 which i was pleased with as my first month :-) . My second months earnings were £75 :T super pleased and that was after i had bought a couple of goodies for myself. My books are out at the moment and collecting 2morro, few perfume and Anew samples in so fingers crossed some new customers :D .
