Make sure you cancel immediately and if you can get something in writing, an email at least. I got stitched up by lovefilm last year, I called them to cancel (you can't do it online) within the two weeks and a month later they sent me a letter demanding payment for a months rental.

I had a new card so the one I signed up with I cancelled. I contacted them explaining that I had cancelled, guess what "we have no record of you cancelling" but was told the charge would be cancelled.

Next think I know I get a letter from a debt collection company. I ended up paying for two months rental in the end and a load of hassle.

I even contacted watchdog who rang me and said they have had other complaints about them.

They even have the nerve to send me letters asking me to rejoin!

    I hope you fare better.

Dont you have to receive a certain number of discs before you cancel?

It is a pain in the posterior to cancel , I wouldnt use them again

You can get £20 for applying for the HSBC Credit Card. Thought you might like to add this to your list.

Hi, this is £20 for a successful application, any credit card on your file will affect your credit limits/history and i will not be party to this. thanks.

Please don't shoot if i'm wrong - new to Quidco. Just looked at "Love and Friends" on quidco who are offering £40 cashback, however when I go to the website all I can see is free register, £40 for free has got to be too good to be true. Anyone tried it?

MinniMe - it does say on Quidco that the £40 cashback is for "sales" so it must mean when you purchase something on the site rather than the free registration I would have though
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155
  • sorry for being thick, just read the site and still don't understand whats really going on here,do you register then get the payment that's listed in your lists:confused: and how many time sdo you do it just the once or daily.weekly, monthly????

Still free money though and if you are wanting the card its certainly a bonus.

Applying for a credit card doesnt have to affect your credit limit. Only applying for lots of credit in a short time or potentially having a high amount of available credit.

These offers can still be worthwhile if you dont go for too many

i found ringing the freephone no to cancel a painless exercise, experian didnt even ask why i wanted to cancel, experian arent fussed about cancellations because during trial period they send something to the named person at registered address which is effectively a further identity check which enhances the value of experian database/service. ;)
