Options
My sky entertainement is going up by £2 next month. I am paying £20 on special offer and still under contract and the price is increasing. Thanks

    What point are you making?
Do you think your special deal is immune to price increases?
That's not the case I'm afraid.

What does your contract say ??about price rises etc .

It says they can increase the price once during your minimum term. Probably not read them, like me and many others!

It never ceases to amaze me that people don't read T&Cs for what they're agreeing to but are quick enough to jump on a forum, read all the posts and then join in the cry foul/scam/disgust messages.

I will admit I don't always read T&Cs myself but its not come as a huge surprise to me (and in any case even with the increase personally speaking I'm still paying less what I was last year anyway!)

I phoned sky about the £2 increase and am now paying £19 a month starting on a new 18 months contract but have to pay a one off £10. I am quite happy with the offer. Terms and conditions were read to me but can renegotiate if increase of price in future. I do not mind recontracting for a lower price.

No I do not think I am immune to price increase. This is a moneysaving forum I was wondering whether anybody has contacted sky to negotiate and the outcome. £2 extra is not a big deal for some but every little count for some.

Well you've certainly asked about this often enough.

Yes, I did and they admitted that they had made a mistake in telling me in an email "Your bill from the 4th March will be the quoted amount of £43.05, until your discount ends."
My charge will not increase for 18months !
