New Build House

There should be a FIT meter somewhere in the property as well as outside meter boxes or they may be in a side cupboard by the front door.
When I went to a new build area with solar panels meter reading, these properties all came with a small 2kw system with only 8 panels for each property, the FIT meter was in with the consumer unit and just looked like a switch. Half the new occupiers had not located it.0 -
Got word back from the site today. According to them the papers for the solar panels are usually handover at completion when we are moving in. We'd then be expected to register them ourselves. I've told them about the advice I got on here about ensuring they are registered before the end of March. They've promised that even if the house isn't complete they will ensure this is done. I'll stay on the case now too.
Apparently at the hand over we will be with British Gas and can switch anytime after.
Thank you everyone for your advice.0
