It started as a 100+ page War Diary - from the Natiional Archives - I was only interested in a few pages
but was unable to edit it - using "word" - due to its size
    Now sorted - thanks

Surely you have some old copies of/licenses for an old copy of acrobat left over from your long career in IT ?

Just use one of those ;)

No I don't and even if I did - that would be breaking the licence rules - as anyone with the slightest bit of intelligence would be aware !!

Anyone who had actually worked in IT like you claim to have would know that an old boxed copy is licensed to be installed on one machine. So as long as it is uninstalled from the original machine then there is nothing wrong with installing it again on a different machine.

Anyone with the slightest bit of intelligence wouldn't keep coming back asking stupid questions from the very people they have insulted earlier

Glad you got sorted anyway :) - My 8 year old daughter had some ideas that would have helped you had you still been stuck

What you probably wanted was a PDF Splitter, to extract the first few pages from the PDF. This would have minimised the conversion problem, as you found!

Go away and stop posting on my threads then - if you feel so insulted !!
