I opened the account Friday and funded it today, it shows interest as 4.45% so there should not be a need to ask them to do anything - as long as the account is funded.

I think payment through card is why the rate is 3.83%. but seems arbitrary. RE: Skipton Bonus saver. I funded by debit card and it takes about 2 working days for the money to be payable. The lower rate was showing until today, it is now at the advertised bonus rate.0

From the updated Chip terms and conditions:

Have you thought about looking into better-paying alternatives to that type of account ? You'll get around 1% more with Zopa (for example) who allow up to 10 pots, IIRC.
