I assume no such thing.ScarletBea said:
As many people everywhere do, you assume that everyone suffers from the same level of inflation!Nick_C said:Many people would rather have savings losing 6pc of their value each year because of inflation than risk investing their capital.
These same people think they are better off now with interest rates at 3.5% than they were two years ago with interest rates effectively at zero.

It's an Easter weekend...what do you expect? There are no banks announcing new accounts/savings rates during non working days, so discussion is inevitably going to go off topic a bit. There's always the no chat version of this thread if you just want to see the rates.jak22 said:Could someone highlight any posts in the last 5 pages relevant to the rates or opening or operating 'Top Easy Access Savings' accounts?11 -

This is by far the most frequented thread on this board which possibly makes the subject the most popular.
There are numerous peripheral yet useful associated topics which should be of genuine interest to most readers.8 -

Exactly. Found myself looking at rates earlier today, then realised how silly I was due to bank holiday. Even further off topic was fixed rates I was looking at.t1redmonkey said:
