I can't see the iPad or the Huawei B310 on Three’s approved list. Is there more than one list?

    http://www.three.co.uk/Discover/network/4G-Supervoice

As far as I am aware, any unlocked 4G band 20 capable router will connect. Unsurprisingly, they don't need to be Three Supervoice compatible.

Compatible iPads also connect fine without needing the Three Supervoice software installed.

I would have presumed it would be quite apparent that a non-voice device wouldn’t need to be voice capable. Non-voice devices are therefore logically going to work.

But you still haven’t explained what wasn’t correct about my post.

if you are looking for a device, check that it can receive Band 20 (800 MHz)

And it also needs to be on the Three “Supervoice” approved list, there are many devices that have Band 20 that still won’t work as Three don’t allow them to connect.

    Correct or incorrect?

What is incorrect about your post is that you stated that "a device" needs to be on the Three “Supervoice” approved list to connect.

    It doesn't.

According to Three, you’re incorrect, while many non-voice devices are currently connecting to Band 20 Three have stated they aren’t actually compatible, so they could stop working at any stage and you wouldn’t have any comeback.
Right now, all 4G Super-Voice compatible iPhones will be 4G Super-Voice enabled once the carrier settings have been installed, even if they didn't come from Three.

4G Super-Voice doesn't work on other non-Three devices yet however, even if the manufacturer has stated that it's VoLTE compatible. We're working on this, so be sure to check back for updates.

Is it really that hard to admit that your post was not entirely correct? Not only not entirely correct, but misleading too. If the argument was restricted to voice devices only, you might have a point, but it isn't, so you don't.

Where exactly does Three state non-voice devices aren’t actually compatible with their 800 MHz data network, so they could stop working at any stage?

    It's not in your link.

There are a lot of devices that aren’t in the link that work like Huawei P series from other networks work, but they aren’t guaranteed to work and could stop working on any update. For example, the onePlus 3T worked until an update and then it didn’t work anymore. There are some Xiaomi devices that currently work but could stop at any time, just like non Three branded mifis/routers might work, but Three wont help you if they don’t.

The only devices that will categorically work are the devices that are sold by Three and that they publicly state will work. Anything else is a chance and getting back to your original comment, just having Band 20 capability is NOT a way of confirming the device will work on Three’s Band 20

    Obviously, it is that hard!

Only if you don’t understand the basic concept that not all band 20 capable devices can use Band 20 on Three...

Some can, some can’t, only those that Three specifically mention are guaranteed to work.

That shouldn’t be that hard to understand.

Or grasp the concept that any device that isn't band 20 compatible is absolutely guaranteed not to work on a band 20 network. Hence my advice not to use one.

The fact remains that a device does not have to on the "Supervoice" approved list to connect to the network, as you claimed.

If the OP is still reading and worried about Three's support for 4G internet devices, I suggest they look their supported devices list instead. Obviously, a band 20 compatible device will be needed... as per my original comment.

Yes, but only as long as that band 20 device is allowed to access band 20 by Three.

A small distinction you seem unable to grasp...

Actually I also do not understand your point. you appear to be mixing VoLTE with data on 800MHz band.

Since the OP is looking at a MiFi, VoLTE/SuperVoice 4G isn't part of the equation.

I've never heard of a Band 20 capable device being unable to connect to Three Band 20 data signal. Have you?
As I wrote earlier, it appears that you are mistakenly merging VoLTE with data.
