    It shows you are keen!!

Feeling quite pleased with myself as I had two very ripe bananas that I did not want to throw out and have just mashed them, added two beaten eggs and flour and turned them into drop scones which I am having with a cup of tea as a late breakfast.

    Hugs to all

Just put some towels on the line as it'sunny here with a breeze but a bit chilly.

DH has just left for his glaucoma appointment at South Bristol hospital. He caught the bus as he will have eye drops so can"t take the car.

I am still trying to get rid of this cold and cough. Roll on Spring.

Well hugs to all and thinking of all the poorlies and worried. Have a nice afternoon.

Afternoon all, these cucumbers are catching,I've got one too.I pulled some veg out to make soup and spotted it lurking ;) I'm just waiting to blitz my stilton & broccoli once its cooled down a bit,to have for my lunch.
Not much going on today. I sorted the chest freezer again as I was going to order my butchers meatpack but I can leave it for another week, there's plenty in there to be going on with.I found some beef stew so am going to turn it into a pie for tea as I have some puff pastry in the fridge that needs using.
TA and Scarlet - I tend to buy my jeans from marks,I find their Roma rise good as they come to my waist.I have had seconds from e bay sellers too.My 2 favourite pairs are looking a bit washed out now though :(
    Taff- what a shame !
Have a good afternoon all xx

What is it with little girls and stationery? My DD (13) loves it, and I still have a bit of a stationery habit! If I see a nice pen or a journal at a good price...

  • I like the jeans from George at Asda. I have short legs and a big bum and tum and they fit well and are comfy.
A wet cold day here today. Day off work, taking pixie to be groomed later. She gets groomed every 5 weeks at £25 a time! But she’s worth it!
    Hope everyone is ok.
  • Afternoon all. Back from my coffee and lunch meet up. We stuck with our choice of winter chicken casserole (served with a crusty roll) and it was really tasty with lots of chicken in it. As usual we talked away non-stop and put the world to rights too!

SCARLETRIBBONS - The saga of jeans-gate!! I bought some white jeans last summer which were a perfect fit but I couldn't remember where I had got them. So I had a rummage through my summer clothes in the spare bedroom to find the said jeans and lo and behold they were from Bon Marche. Style Sara with straight leg, size 12 and 27 length. No problem I thought I will get a pair just the same in black. Sods law they had every size but the one I wanted!! Aint that just typical! So I am going to order a pair on-line for collection in store. I will not be beaten!

Re the M & S jeans recommendations our store is no more, it was closed last Spring! I haven't yet forgiven them! I could trek to their Leeds store but they have such a vast collection of jeans and trousers I CBA even looking!

It's going to be a feet up afternoon now for me but I'm sure I could find some jobs if I felt so inclined! Sadly I don't! So I will pinch NELSKI's hubby for an hour and watch this afternoon's prog on ITV +1. North Wales this afternoon.

Oh TAFF poor you traipsing out for nowt. Take care all xx

  • Got some Bon Marche Sara cropped jeans in Chartreuse last summer - really comfortable and worn loads, so a very good purchase.

Thanks for the jeans info TA, I'll definitely be heading to Bon Ma*che in the next few days.

I don't know, I must be a queer shape, I wouldn't like to tell you how much money I've wasted on jeans that turn out to be not as good as I thought they would be.

I bought a nice pair in Sainsbobs last year, not baggy, not skintight, but medium rise, so couldn't keep them up. I'm much more careful now about checking the "rise" on jeans.

What a performance it is just trying to buy a pair of jeans !!
Lke yourself TA I can't face M&S, all those racks of jeans make ma want to start crying
