A friend of mine recently purchased a property for 1.8 million. After handover he went to the property and found all the built in wardrobes, all made to measure furniture had been taken. He wasn't expecting all that to go and removal meant he had to decorate the whole house. Gobsmacked he went outside on the balcony to clear his mind and found the previous owner even took every single plant in the garden!!

So you would be surprised with what people will take with them.

They'd have been less surprised if they'd had read the TA10 form.

    I know it’s really doesn’t add up.
Just shown the solicitor the photos of the utility and she can’t understand it either as she said it’s tiled all around the area so to remove it would mean them having to replaster the room to make right the walls.
Think I’ll keep them if he is willing to leave them at no extra cost. Otherwise he can remove them all but must make all walls, floors and ceilings right.
I’ve no idea if the bedroom laminate flooring runs up to or under the bedroom built in unit’s but they need to be made right whatever.
  • People can be jerks really - I'd just buy the new one and move on. Some things just aren't worth your time and energy.
