Hi, I have just received another letter now from Civil Enforcement Legal Dept:

Despite our various communications your debt remains outstanding.
In accordance with Pre Action Conduct and Protocol for debt claims, we wish to give you a final opportunity to settle your debt or agree a payment plan.
You can visit .countycourtdebtclaims (website) to download our information sheet, reply form, financial statement and ParkingEye v Beavis Summary of Supreme Court Judgment.
If you wish to receive a hard copy please call us and we will send the documents by post.
If we do not receive a reply within 30 days from the date of this letter, we will be left with no alternative but to issue proceedings in the County Court.

    Yours Faithfully,

Is this a letter before claim then? Do I respond or now wait for their next move?

    thanks

YES, it is a LBC but you are not obliged to download the info.

Tell them to post it to you. You may also tell them to exclude the Beavis case as it is not relevant to the case

Respond denying any debt and tell them to do one. PPCs deserve no respect.

If I call them to get the info, won't the put the pressure on? Are they obliged to respond to me via email?

    thanks

NEVER PHONE THEM ...... unless you want to receive loads of threatening calls.

    Write/email only

Hi, so I ended up downloading the "information sheet" they sent me link to.
At this point , if I dispute the debt it's asking for as much info as possible....is this a defence I am writing? How detailed do I need to be, will it be used in court?

    thanks,

Don't complete their personal information forms!

Expect a claim from court and spend some time now studying the newbies faq thread #2

That post covers Court claims right through from the LBC to the hearing with advice on how to deal with each stage

Why, when the NEWBIES thread tells you not to use the reply forms?

I think you need to just read what the NEWBIES FAQS thread already says in the section about LBC Stage (post #2 of the sticky), and stop doing the exact opposite then asking us to pick up the pieces.

I didn't tell you to phone them, yet you said:
If I call them to get the info, won't the put the pressure on?

And in February, KeithP gave you a link to the NEWBIES thread, so you already had the thread that tells you not to use the reply forms...

Even more disappointing when the very first sentence the OP posted on MSE started:
I have read the newbies thread...
