Alliance & Leicester online banking problem

I am trying to move some money from my current account to my sainsbury's online savings account, but when i make the transfer it doesn't go through. I think it has something to do with the fact that the sainsbury's account no starts with a 0, i also had this problem when i tried to transfer money to a halifax which also…

I have a Halifax account with 2 zeros at the start of the account number. I still manage to do transfers to this account from A&L online banking. The account number appears in my saved payee list minus the first 2 zeros.
