Pre-Dial.Com Orange PAYG and Orange Off-Peak Customers
Hi Folks,
Not sure if this has been mentioned before but there are some good saving to be made with http://www.pre-dial.com if you are connected with Orange as a PAYG Customer or on one of the Off Peak plans that have 1000's of mins to use.
Basically the deal is you call the following number 07976 827878 which is an Orange Number. Once connected to this number you will hear a voice say "Please dial the number you wish to call"
You can then call any network and it will only cost you the same as dialling Orange to Orange or if your on the Off Peak Plans then the cost of the call will be deducted from your inclusive mins with no further Cross Network charges so long as you call at Off-Peak.
This service would be especially good to Orange Customers who are still connected to Every Day 50 and the Orange Off Peak 1000 tariff - You guys can call any network from your Orange phone at Off Peak times and you will not incur any further charges.
Hope this is of some help

I had seen this before somewhere but had completely forgotten it as it wouldn't affect me at the moment, but I've just checked it and it works to O2 and perhaps surprisingly (it has higher charges) to 3 as well.0

can u use this to make international calls or can it be used on 3 networks xnet calls??/Nice to save.0

matrix999, you have hit on something here; I've just tried this in the daytime as well - it still works, to O2 and 3 numbers. I'll try some more a bit later.
Edit - Looking at your post again, I think you implied this anyway, but I was slightly confused by your discussion of the off-peak tariffs, and thought at first that it meant off-peak only. Apologies.
rabialiones you can do both of those. 3's cross-net calls will include the Orange access number. Press the Free Destination List button on Pre-dial to see the countriies available. Also the Free Save as you go service, a different Orange number, enables calls to 0845 numbers and you gradually accrue points and could then call 0870 numbers.0 -
and if you start using the number to make international calls, then be aware that it probably won't be long before Orange cotton onto this as a calling card number and start charging again prior to warning people about it!Mark Hughes' blue and white army0

I know I kept mentioning the Off Peak Orange Plans in my thread but what I should have said was that anyone on Orange can use this number at anytime.
I thought it would be useful to those on PAYG who get charged for the first 3 mins and then call charges are reduced for the rest of the day to 5p per per mins.
Therefore calling say a mobile on T-Mobile would be something along the lines of 25p per min for the first 3 mins and then it would cost you 5p per min for the rest of the day instead of the X Network charge which I think is around 35-40p per min.0 -
you're absolutely right - I hope people on Orange payg are grateful0

An interesting side-feature of this service is that you can call those pesky ever-so-expensive 0870 numbers within the credit points, provided you have enough of them.0
-
I think your find that you can also phone the equally annoying 0845 numbers without having to have any credit points.PF.0

mention this few months ago when saw the post about simply-fone (since this was actually the first service that had a UK number not them. And this is a real UK mobile unlike what simply-fone using. (ok in some way it was real as well.) Anyway that number allow you to call some europe mobiles as well
Other service you can look at, for people who have everyday 50 esp is http://www.qxtelecom.co.uk/qxdial/ where you can store your minutes away to use to call say UAE mobiles later on.0
