Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
SO..... I am with the others, its a disgraceful way to treat you and your husband. I am not sure what the answer is.
OL.... Go to the walk in centre, there is obviously something wrong and it needs treating, stop prevaricating and DO IT!!
Poppy... I applaud you for your decision, it could not have been an easy one to take, but I have to say I agree with you, its just not worth the effort if it is making you so ill and despondent. Thoughts with you and your family.
Well its a fine sunny morning again. We had our usual Sunday brekkie in bed. Up showered and washed my hair, now ready for the day. Not that we are doing much. OH is off out into the garden to finish off a job he started yesterday. I am fed up of trying to stop him from doing so much, he is obsessed. Its fine whilst he is fairly well, but if he has another vertigo attack all my energy goes on getting him through it, everything else has to go by the by, including the garden.
I am haunted by the thought that I will be the one to pop off and he will be left.......he is hopeless on his own, will not even look at the bank account on line. I can see him getting in the most awful mess. Its not up to my children to sort him out, they have enough on their hands with their father. My step son is so fixated on his birth family, he will be no good either. Hey Ho.......
I have not real plans for the day. I might do a bit of sewing now I have made my mind up about the big bed quilt.
Roast chicken etc for supper tonight, banana split for dessert.0 -
Morning all
Its a lovely day here sun is shining and I think its going to get up to 13 deg later.
I am very glad for those of you who are getting a good Rogering !! for those of you who are Rogerless I hope you find one soon
We are going out for a good walk after this to make the most of the lovely day and will come back later and I shall cook the dinner while OH cleans his car, he has his MOT tomorrow and the car is so filthy inside and out.
We are having roast pork for dinner and I shall do enough for tomorrow too DD has invited herself over, as her OH is working this evening so I will do her a dinner, she loves my roasties
SO e-mail them back and say that you saw that they had taken him to the pictures !! call them out on it and say how upsetting it is to you, what else can they do to you as you are not seeing them now anyway !! I do feel for you xx
OL maybe you should go down to the drop in x
Poppy that's a brave decision sending much love to you xx
Have good days all xx0 -
Poppy, sad to hear the side effects of the drugs, I thought they just made you fatgued, didn't realise they came with a whole host of other side effects.
If the decision to stop is right for you then it's right..I hope you do get to enjoy spending time with loved ones.
And thank you for the good wishes, [thanks everyone actually] but really, there's no need, !!!! happens, I'm coping fine really, I could be a lot worse...
And well done OL for getting yourself there, hope they can do something for you too.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Hello again. I just popped back on to see if OL had gone to the walk in at the hospital and sad to read both POPPY and SILVER-OLDIE's posts.
POPPY I am so sorry the treatment made you feel so ill and I can fully understand your decision and I think it's a brave one too. Much love to you.
SILVER-OLDIE. Your problem is as real as everybody else's on here. I don't know what the answer is, I honestly don't. But it's obviously eating away at you and I think it's time you got it off your chest to them. If they keep breaking their promises to call you obviously can't explain to them in person how upsetting their actions are, and how you miss seeing more of your DGS, so e-mail them as DIL did you. It might be easier that way too.
When my mum was ill with Parkinsons and associated dementia I was at her house every day (and often in the night) for 14 years. At the time I was in a stressful job and had DS, DD and her ne'er do well bf at the time all at home too. My life wasn't much fun but I did it cos she was my mum and anyway she'd put up with me for 26 years till I got married!!
My temporary Roger (DS!) came to cut the hedge this morning as promised. He was here by 9.30 and had it all done in record time. It used to take me and Bob half a day to do it!! I did intend to make a start weeding when he had finished but by then the sun had gone in and a sneaky wind had got up. So had second thoughts about that! I've always been a fair weather gardener, even in my fitter days!
I hope things went as well as they could for OL at the hospital.

Poppy, such a hard decision. my heart goes out to you.
taff I have said we will visit DS , DiL and DGS but they don't answer their phone, if I message or email I don't always get an answer, if I do it's usually 'we'll let you know'
As for the cake DH is always happy to eat it
Not sure if to let her know I read her fb page, it's they only way I have to see what is happening in DGS's life. Think she can block me from reading it.If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.0 -
