Thoughts on getting a wood burning stove
Comments

Thanks for your comments, it all makes great sense and are very valid points.
In my personal case though I do have access to a lot of wood, I have a couple of acres of woodland which have been neglected for years so there are a lot of trees down that have been seasoned for a long time. It would keep me going for a few years at least and I have a large fully enclosed outbuilding I’m which to store it in.
Also I currently spend about £1500 on heating oil a year and it takes a while to heat my house up. I figured that having the stove would at least speed up that process or mean that I could have the central heating on for less hours per day and off for some days altogether.0
