Vivid 100 Optical Fibre from Virgin

I have supposedly been upgraded to Vivid 100 Optical Fibre from Virgin Media.
I do get > 100mbs speed but my modem/router is still the same and the cable has not been replaced.
It is still the same cable as from when it was installed > 10 years ago though the router/modem is only 2 years old.
Am I getting Vivid 100 Optical Fibre?

If you upgrade (or downgrade) speed , they don't change the 'cable' , and as others have said, it's not an optical fibre cable, it's a co-axial cable...AFAIK they may need to change the router/hub in some circumstances, Vivid 100 is just a marketing name.0

I've got the Virgin 325 Mbps broadband running on the cable originally installed by Cabletel over 20 years ago when you had to buy your own 3M modem and a router. Then it was NTL for a while, now Virgin with various hub upgrades over the years. Now with Hub 3 and my own Archer 3200 router as the Hub 3 wifi is pretty poor (weak range and starts drops connections when other devices log on). Doubtful that the cable will ever need re-laying for any speed unless it gets damaged.0
