Hello I know this is quite late but I will be sending a letter to the City of London sometime this week
I have wrote:
"Hello I am writing on behalf of my father "Father's name"
I believe my father has been falsely accused of renting vehicles that have absolute no affiliation with him whatsoever.
I have spoke with the DVLA and they confirm that my dad is not the keeper of "VRN"
My dad doesn't even live at this address in fact. He does not recall renting any vans in his lifetime and has never been the keeper or hirer of it/them.
You will need to revert to the rental company (that he has been given to understand is the keeper of those vehicles, albeit no-one has disclosed the rental firm's name) as he has clearly been erroneously, negligently or fraudulently named as the hirer."
Is there anymore information I can add or will this be enough?
Many thanks0 -

Update:
I was able to go to Scotland for a few days
I brought all the papers, the first thing I did was go to his MP’s office, we had been exchanging emails and they advised that I go to the local citizens bureau.
I went there and not much help either, they advised I go to the Scottish police
They said that they really can’t do much since Scottish and English laws are different so they can’t assist us they said it was a civil matter not a criminal one so there wasn’t much they could do, so I’m kind of stuck and not sure what to do next any advice? Many thanks
Should I contact all the companies and send them the emails of the DVLA confirming that my dad wasn’t the registered keeper of the vehicles?0 -
Did you send that letter in March? What was the response?
If you didn't - why not?. ("Because I didn't get a response on the forum" is not an acceptable answer - we can't hand-hold every single person through every step of every situation - people need to take responsibility themselves).0
