How Can I test if my SD card is faulty

How can I test if my mini SD card os faulty or corrupt. What tests can I run. Is there a Repair tool.

You didn't need a new thread but ok where do you use the sd card normally ? Camera / Tablet /Phone tell us model number of said device, and does it still work in that?

Try it in more than one device. If both devices cannot read it, that suggests the fault lies with the card.

If your PC USB reader cannot read it, but mobile device can, that suggests the reader or USB port is faulty

If the PC can read it, but the mobile device cannot, that suggests the mobile to be faulty. If all other aspects of the mobile work, then there may be an issue with the card holder/reader in the device.

Really, it's just trying alternatives and logical process of elimination

Also if it was used in another device it may be a format that windows can't read hence my first post

How important is what's on it?

Can you restore the data from somewhere else?

If so, buy another and load it up with what you lost.

The Card is used on My Samsung Tablet S6. When I open it on my MP3 file it shows empty. I had nothing else except music on My SD Card If I put into my USB port on my Acer PC it comes up as USB Drive F. But it will not format here as it says Insert a disk into USB drive F..The Micro SD is a Samsung branded one, Is this information you require to identify if there is a anything further I can do.Thank you

Can you do other things with it on the tablet, such as store pictures or other data to it? This would show that it was working.

What size is it? If it is more than 32GB and it's Fat32 windows probably can't read it

It Is A Samsung Micro 64GB Eva Sd Card which has been working perfectly for the past 4 months plus without a hitch. it suddenly stopped working when yesterday I tried to download two pieces of music.
