  • Afternoon folks. It's absolutely glorious here. It would almost pass for a summer's day when out in the sunshine. Nippy out of it. The Bolognese Bake is sitting ready on the worktop. Lunchhas been eaten. Hairdresser been and gone and I look much less dishevelled! On the other hand the garden looks decidedly dishevelled and if my knees and hips would co-operate I'd be out tidying everywhere up. My token gesture was to go out with the grabbing stick and pick up all the rubbish that had blown in when the gales hit at the w/end.

DD was telling me more about the young chap I mentioned earlier, who had died suddenly. He was actually a lot younger than her, just 40. Sports and keep fit mad. He had a heart attack on his way home from football training. Isn't that so very sad.

DS and his DP are up in the Lakes for a mini break. They are making use of the hotel voucher I got them for Christmas. He says they booked it purely for Valentines Day and never expected to have such beautiful weather in February! So an added bonus!

NELSKI are you watching James in his new prog The Great British Adventure? Oooh I say he is watching kilt making, I wonder if we will see him modelling one?!! Forget the firemen!!

Enjoy the lovely weather if you can xxxxx

Editing to add he is now modelling the said kilt and what a fine figure of a man he looks!!

    Good afternoon everyone :hello:
I am having a very relaxing afternoon after a very busy morning. My friend arrived at 10 but this time she only stayed for 3 hours which was much more manageable. It was like a giant toddler had invaded the house though as when she left there was glittery threads, beads, snippets of wool and jewellery everywhere. My lovely Lee cleaned it all up for me. Jemima rang then to ask if one of the kids could go and collect my grand daughter from school as she wasn't well. Lilly went and got her straight away and now she is snuggled up on the sofa watching a Disney film.

I continue to improve daily and almost have most of the function back in my leg again. My nurse came yesterday to do a doppler scan on me but the machine was being very tempermental and wouldn't work so she will come back next week for another try.

I can't think what to do for tea tonight. I meant to order a posh meal deal but forgot. Steve has offered to cook for me for V Day but I don't know if I am all that worried about it. Last year we went out for a meal and that was the last time we went out together. I feel quite sad about it really so I am determined to get better this year.

Right, I had better go and put on my nurses cap and look after my little girl. Hope you all have a great evening whatever you are up to, take care xx
  • Good to hear from you Dumpling, and so pleased the legs are on the mend, it must be such a relief.

Whatever you eat tonight, enjoy it.
