    Morning everyone

Having started the thread off then posted on the wrong thread, I thought I had better put this here :). I can be such an idiot at times!

I need to go and collect my prescription from the pharmacy this morning. Someone took it for me on Saturday so I hope that it is ready. Just recently I have done this and when I’ve gone to collect it it isn’t ready and I end up waiting while they sort it out.

I’m going to the coffee morning of a local club to see if I am interested in joining. I want to try and expand my social circle a bit and this club sounds like I will have things in common with many of the other members.

Other than that, it’s mainly a sofa day again, apart from a small amount of hand washing I need to do and putting away the shopping when it is delivered.

It was nice to have a catch up with my friend yesterday, and the apple cake went down really well. What was left is in the freezer for another day.

Nanny and TA I think my get up and go has run off with yours! It has been missing for a long while now.

Candy I hope that you managed to find a gas fire that you like.

I hope you enjoyed your magical mystery pub tour, and had a good lunch taff.

OL I hope that you feel better after a day in bed.

Whatever you are doing, have a good day everyone.
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need osne especially the poorly ones.

Snoozer, sorry that Steve is suffering so much, I hope they sort out whats causing the problem.

OL.. hope you feel better soon.

No idea why, but I had to sign in this morning, blooming laptop.......it had done an update.

Bright morning, we are off to the carers meeting this morning, OH will stay downstairs and do some research. I park in Morrison, so will have to go and do some shopping in there. A couple of bits I cannot get from Aldi. I hope they have not got their shrubs etc in, I always get suckered in to buying a couple.

OH says its quite a bit warmer outside, he has just been out to put the bag out for the bin men later. He is itching to get outside again.

Fish last night was delicious, Mince and chick peas out for tonight, with mash and veg. Rapsberries in Jelly for dessert.
  • Morning all

Thanks for the thread Holly and hugs to all those in need, especially Snoozer and Steve.

Foggy here this morning, but we only need to go shopping and that's not far from here.

I like beards but I know many people don't, but then I like hairy men in general, hairy chests and back, mmm, it does it for me.

I've been without power to charge my computer as my beloved wanted to do some solar/battery testing, so no hot water, no power, no TV, it's been a long week of totally unecessary suffering whilst he ran up and down the boat taking readings, he gets obsessive about things since his stroke.!

I've been given a completion date for the house sale, it was 1st March but has now been moved to 22nd Feb, I've not told CHS, he still thinks its 1st March, if I tell him it's moved forward and it then moves back he'll have conniptions.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.

Morning!! A holding pattern not because I don't believe it, but because there's a background app running all the time worrying about lymphodema/will it come back/ will the pain go away/will the seroma delay radiotherapy/ will the cancer have grown again in the time since the chemo etc etc. I think until it's over, this app will be taking 5% power...
Beard? Don't know. OH has a beard, no beard, monkey tail beard, van dyke beard, pornstache, Noel tidy-beard, wild man of the woods beard, it all depends on how much he wants to groom. I don't mind anything as long as it's not scratchy stubble.
Today is going to spent looking for paperwork and IDs for tomorrows visit to the Job Center. And I will also remove the zip and repair armholes today. etter get the sewing machine at the ready. I think old battleaxe sewing machine is needed for this one, just to sew through the tough layers of everything. I'm amazed really, he's had this jacket ofr 18 years and considering, it's not doing that badly.

I did wonder where your post had gone Holly, thought you'd fallen asleep! ): which would have been a good thing :) Had a very nice lunch thank you and got a side trip to Matalan to pick up some kind of boob crop bra thing on instructions from cancer nurse. She's going down the 'pressure on it it to stop it filling' route. Say how the coffee morning goes won't you? Snoozer, hope they find what's wrong with steve today.AOD, hope you don't get stuck in traffic. Gers, this is not the student that rang to cancel was it? TA, always a shock when someone your own age dies, it's a bit of a wake up, and then it get's forgotten about. I think we spend so much time just sorting out daily living we can forget the bigger picture, which is life is for living, not exisiting in the daily work/home/eat/sleep. Nelski, is this the woonderfully attractive bright orange uniform or the boring green one? OH wears a really fetching shade of birght orange with reflectors, but again, not the same thing when you compare a fireman with a traffic cone...Boz, enjoy the anticipation of half term :) Wotcha Poppy, tru..
A Thursday without tribulations to everyone...

    Afternoon all,
We were going to dust off the walking gear today because the weather forecast was for sun and 12 degrees. Woke up to thick fog and bl00dy freezing  and it's still only up to 7 degrees ! I don't think the old body could have hacked it anyway as I'm still out of sorts. Instead we did 2 tip trips, something I wanted to do for a while but it never happened as something was always more important :(.
This afternoon I need to tidy up the garden, sweep up the mess and the leaves. I want to fill my green waste bins too ready for the first collection of the year ( I don't know when that is I'll have to check the council website ) That's my plan, so I will do what I can with the energy provided.
On the subject of beards, I love a man with a tidy beard, especially dark haired men. Mr Fix It only had a moustache when I first met him but he did wear a uniform and he had more hair which was black and curly. Now he's grey and only needs a polish on top :rotfl:. But he's still my valentine :blushing:
Tea tonight will be lamb shanks in red wine gravy and wedgie potatoes, I'll have green beans with mine too. Pudding will be banana split if we have enough room in our tummy's :D.

Nelski :naughty: my lips are sealed as to the location of my Al*is, as I don't want any Tom, D**k or Nelski ogling my firemen :rotfl:. I could send you a photo though ....... of the firemen, not the Al*is store :D
bellabella hi :wave:nice to "see" you
Snoozer I hope they can find out what is the cause of Steve's problems.

Thinking of all the poorly people and anyone feeling down, sleepless or energyless.
Take care and hugs all round.
    nan xx

  • Just checking in to see if DUMPLING is OK, and just family life keeping her busy.

    Take care xx
