I don't think that getting free money and being unemployed is possible, considering my experience. I actually think that many people who need help simply won't get it. I never wanted free money and be unemployed forever. Just one, two or three months would help me. At least I would actually get to the theraphy, which I am still waiting for.
BTW: When I arrived back home, my first steps were to the GP, NOT Jobcentre. I went to the GP in October 2018, and waited months to get anything. To the Jobcentre I went in January 2019 just because my friend who is Scottish told me to do so! And I never claimed any benefits before, anywhere. I didn't even know that Universal Credit exists. My only previous visit of Jobcentre was to get National Insurance Id, when I moved to the UK.
I don't know much about the legislations regarding health care to a
EEA person but as you have failed the HRT are you still entitled to free health care?
Everytime I have a hospital appointment I am asked if I have lived in the UK for the last year. You couldn't answer yes honestly.0 -
OP, can you drop the petulance? Of course people here understand depression, but why do you think that you are such a special case that the rules do not apply to you? Depression doesn’t alter the law. Really really wanting it to does not change reality.
You need to take proper advice and then work out how to proceed. Having studied in the UK in the past does not let you choose to move here now and receive state assistance, you don’t qualify for it and need to find out where you need to go and what to do to survive.
My first wife had severe depression, and had to make some very difficult decisions choosing between being functional and being “herself”, and throughout her many crises still plotted a route to the highest levels of the civil service. Your illness may well rule that out but it sounds as though you have self-diagnosed and then given up entirely.0 -
It is much better to have cancer - both illnesses can kill you, but when you have cancer, then literally everyone will support you immediatelly.
Only in their own country, if they meet the requirements.
But these EEA citizens could not arrive in another EEA country and expect to be given benefits because they have cancer and can't work. They would not be exercising EU Treaty Rights of Free Movement and would not have a Right to Reside in that EEA country past their initial 90 days visit. The UK would not give benefits to these anymore either.0 -

These illnesses are not mutually exclusive.
Having Cancer does not provide immunity against Depression - quite the reverse in fact.
It is to the OP's demerit that he has not removed this immature, petulant, and offensive comment.
Reading back through the thread, he has been given some clear advice which he has chosen not to engage with.
That advice does not vary according to illness.Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -

As mentioned in the 5th post.If you knew you were too sick to work, then how did you think you would be able to use Free Movement after your pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela?0 -
Hmm yeah. So after studying at university, working 6 years, never comitting any crime, having no debt, I can either live on streets or return to Czech Republic and.. live on streets there. All just because I got depression. Great system. I will rather kill myself, thanks.
Sorry, but have you not received free use of the NHS?
It is a great system if you are entitled to use it. Are you saying you would receive no support from your own country if you went back to the Czech Republic?0 -

So what did you intend to live off when you did not know about claiming ant benefit?0
