You should have paid the judgment within 30 days , in full , to avoid a CCJ affecting your credit rating
The court should have sent you the judgment , so contact them to find out why nothing was received
Also check your credit rating to see if it has been affected by a CCJ0 -
If you know that the judge "went in favour of SIP" how do you know this? Did you receive a letter? If so, did the letter state by when you have to pay and who to pay?0
-
However, I have not been sent any method of payment, and have not heard from the court or SIP since... what should happen next?
Oh Jeez - the instruction to pay was surely part of the judgment. The court doesn't tell you how or (specifically) to whom you pay, you have to sort that out yourself.
What should happen next? ...... I'd be checking your credit rating, because it's extremely likely you have an unsatisfied CCJ against your name and now face 6 years of credit grief.
Check it out pronto.
And be aware that paying the claimant now will not alter that CCJ or your credit rating. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Wow, thanks.
I had a General Form of Judgement or Order and it outlines the judges decision.
At the bottom it says:
1. There be a judgement for the claimant for £100
2. The defendant do pay the claimants court fees of £50.
That's it. Sorry if I'm not familiar with this procedure, but normally when you are supposed to pay someone you get some hint of instruction how to pay.
I've checked my credit rating and it's excellent.
Better get hold of SIP Parking and pay then.0 -
Was there a date by which it had to be paid?0
-
No, nothing, just what I copied in. Not that helpful really.
I wrote to the court to see what they say, but I found a payment link on the SIP Parking website for the correct amount so I paid it.
At least I put them through the court hoops... and in so far as parking for work I now take the tram!0 -
If the judgment was made in November, I can't believe that your credit rating hasn't been affected, and paying SIP now won't repair a damaged credit rating.
Often it takes a month before a CCJ is recorded on your credit file - I'd keep a very close eye on it because, as the song goes, there may be trouble ahead! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I'll keep my eye on it obviously, but as I said there is no deadline or instruction for payment.
I've written to the court and I've now paid, so I expect I'll hear back from the court in the next few days. I've also spoken to SIP who have confirmed receipt of payment and will notify the court that I've paid.
Thanks for the heads-up.0 -

If you do get a CCJ on record, you need to ensure the court is taken to task; you complied with the order.0
