  • Morning everyone,

Happy hump day and happy birthday to my gran too. I've sent her a nice bouquet of flowers which should be arriving within the next couple of hours. I'm going back up to Glasgow this weekend, so I'll see her on Saturday for a bite to eat and give her a big hug.

As for today, I've booked myself into a yoga class at lunch time. It lasts 45 minutes so I should have enough time to quickly nip out, go to yoga, come back and eat my lunch at my desk. It'll be the first time I've tried it so we'll see how we get on. I've also got football training on tonight so lots of exercise to be had.

I'm feeling super organised again after a crazy few weeks. Ticked off a lot of small annoying things on my to-do list and I'm getting back into the healthier lifestyle too. This all blended together makes for a good mix.

Couldn't get my NSD yesterday as I had to buy milk for the office. So a small 80p spend ruined it for me, damn it. Not doing very well on that front this month.

AoD - Sounds like he had a cracking time!!
S-O - Get you enjoying the warmer climate! Hope this morning goes well.
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

A dull morning, I have a jaunt to Aldi planned, cannot go tomorrow as its the Carers meeting. Phone call first thing to the chemist, my script was due either Monday or yesterday, it did not arrive, apparently its out for delivery today, so out the window goes their delivery either Monday or Tuesday. OH's came on Friday the other week.

No plans for the rest of the day. I went over to see mt friend who fell yesterday afternoon, she is still very weak on her legs, but no longer using the walker. She is 89, I am concerned about her, however her family were here on Saturday, they wanted her to go back with them, she refused. I knew she would, they live in a house, and she does not do stairs.

Had a call last night re a lady looking for cleaning work, hoping she will ring today.

Baked cod tonight with mash, peas and parsley sauce. No idea whats for dessert.

    Morning all from Mehefinland
Cold, dank and miserable now but we apparently had a beautiful red sky this morning. I must have blinked! Feeling shattered this morning. I'll be glad when they have finished all the nightwork on the airfield. A pecker going day and night is tiresome, but I know they have a deadline to adhere to. It changes from military to civilian rules in March so they have much to do. apparently we will get a flypast of the Tornado on its farewell tour later this month. That will be a blink and you miss it moment.

Still trying to get out on the mares. there seems to be always something that stops us, either weather or life. Never mind the adorable Carol said we will have 1.3/4 hrs more daylight by the end of the month, so that is something to look forward to.

Hugs and spoons to those in need

Morning all! Good news yesterday for me but I think draining the seroma really helped too. My arm no longer pops and crackles so I'm feeling less terrifed of lymphodema. It's funny, someone asked me did I feel better about the news. And the answer is, I do, but I still feel exactly the same if that makes sense. The news was definitely good, but I seem to be in a holding pattern emotionally, that it's not over till it's over if that makes sense.

Friends taking me out [not like that SO] today for lunch somewhere, don't know where yet, it's a magical mystery pub tour...
Need to finish watching the sewing bee, I fell alseep halfway through it last night, was a bit drained I think. On a related note, made a start on repariing the jacket, I sort of mended the frayed bit at the bottom but my attempt at sewing some stars on it ended up like flowers [ I couldn't put it in the washing machine until that part was done] but then, he probably won't notice. It's been a very long time since it was washed apparently, I was afraid it'd fall apart but turned out OK and is hagning above the fire to throroughly dry. Take the zip off and repair pockets and armholes next.

Nelski, rib warmers, I laughed out loud at that[laughed at the other thing too] ..I'm guessing your mother won't go and join any group type things? Holly, yep, know where you're coming from, I'm back to doing nana naps in the afternoon, or even a couple of hours after I get up...AOD, that was funny...TA, as long as the house isn't falling down or smelly, sod the jobs for a bit...enjoy any sunshine that comes your way. SO, switch it up, go in the afternoon or evening, if she doesn't speak, she's not going to complain :) redruby, has your car been done now finally? Speky, get you mr.fitness! casarina, hope she continues to improve. snoozer hope steve will as well. Wotcha Poppy, tru.
    Have a winsome Wednesday...

  • Good morning all, it's sunny here with a strong cold wind blowing, but it's drying the washing.

I slept till 7am this morning, whoo hoo, but lay awake till 3am, a different pattern to the usual.

Holly, you sound positive, hope you get out for a walk. It brightens me up a bit to get out, hope it does the same for you.

Speky, it's a pity about your NSD, maddening isn't it when that happens.

Taff, so glad you got good news yesterday - do you think you're afraid to believe it, is that why you're in a "holding pattern"

Well, I'll slurp my coffee down and make myself useful,

Hugs to the sad and poorly

    Take care folks

    Hello all
The trip yesterday went off without a hitch and even Nurse Grumpy had a smile on her face  Mr Fix It is sore, battered and bruised but uncomplaining as always.
As for me I'm still not "with it" and I can't seem to get my legs to oblige my brain :(. Shopping in Aldi this morning was perplexing and Mr fix It put another tool in the trolley, ( stop sniggering at the back !! ) consequently I gave myself 2 bunches of long stemmed roses, one white and one deep red. So Happy Valentines day to me for tomorrow :rotfl:.
The fire brigade were there doing their shopping and they even brought the fire engine , so that brightened up my day a bit. Ooooooh I love a man er..... men in uniform :T
I called into the hairdressers on the way home and I have an appointment for Friday afternoon. I have now put the shopping away, arranged the roses three times, ( they still don't quite look right, but they will have to do for now :o. Normally I'm pretty good with flowers ) and I've also put the DW on.
I haven't the energy to do anything else today except cook tea, which will be throw in some oven chips and BBQ chicken. Dad has said he will come over after his club.

Right I'm off to get some more coffee, about a dozen more espressos should do it, as my " get up and go " has left the building along with Elvis :rotfl:.
Sending healing vibes to all the poorly people, their carers and hugs to anyone who is in need.
    Take care all.
    nan xx

Afternoon - I've finally cracked the back of my overdue work! :j Sitting in the office certainly makes me want to work more than sitting at home does. I've done all the outstanding assessments which is a huge weight off my mind.

My tomorrow student emailed to say that he probably won't be in for his class so I'll not drive up to Oban. Instead I'll stay at home and dial in by VC to see if he turns up.

I'll be having the left over liver and vegs later, I think it's really the fried onions which I really enjoy. After that I'll catch up with a couple of recorded programmes from last night.
