My success selling online

After attempting to sell my home for 4 months via a local estate agent I thought id try selling privately over the web. Used www.getterbetterhome.co.uk as they charged £79 for a listing with lots of photos and advertising on all the usual sites (propertyfinder, telegraph etc..) received information from 4 people in the first week! Before selling my home 2 weeks later to a family from London, who I guess might not have found it otherwise. :j

I was in no hurry (clearly!) so I had the time to wait had it not happened so rapidly, but It shows it’s worth a try and the amount of money I’ve saved is phenomenal.

Now one of my friends is selling through the same method.

Congratulations! Did you get the full asking price?

I've just been to that site and for some reason all the areas I searched came up with zero results. I wonder if its a technical glitch or whether there are simply very few homes advertised on there.

Lol don't blame you for thinking so, Im just chuffed about that money I saved so felt they deserved some recognition for it. Im sure there are many more out there from which people have been just as succesful as me (houseweb.co.uk is v.large apprently) so if anyone else has any recommendations please post them.

Yes I did achieve the asking price, however I did lower the price after I took it off the market (from the estate agent) but not substantially.

I've only found 1 site which had 1 house in my area, the rest don't have anything to match my search, and I've search through plenty.

Congrats though, proves it can work, i just don't think enough people do it to make it worthwhile yet.

I think I found the only property advertised, do I win a prize(that said the pictures didn't work on the ad either)

I call billy bull on it too, I'm finding it hard to find 4 properties, nevermind 4 people finding the one that was advertised and then buying it
