ISA for expats in UK

Hi,

I've recently moved to the UK and was looking at ISA's as a possible way to save / invest some money, but would like to know if its possible to close out these ISA accounts when / if I plan to leave the UK after a while (maybe in a few years) or if not and I'm here longer is it possible to close this and maybe look at some other form of investment with that money without paying a huge price because of closing the ISA?

What type of ISA are you asking about? Cash ISA, HTB ISA, Stocks & Shares ISA, LISA, IFISA?

Instant access Cash ISAs have no closing charges. Fixed Term/Fixed Rate Cash ISAs typically have an inbuilt interest penalty for early closure.

S&S ISA providers often impose closing charges, but they vary.

There is no standard penalty though for closing an ISA.
