  • MrsMP I am so sorry, just wanted to add my support and condolences. I hope that with us you can lose yourself a little in the randomness of our daily lives.

And atb you must have looked really good, what a compliment!

Trying to fly a little here, lots of paid stuff and a little exercise too. DS1 is at the hospital today for the results of his CT scan on his shoulder. I am praying for good news.

And of course DS wanted me to go to hospital with him (even though he is 20) and I cant - I have meetings that I cant get out of. So I feel guilty. DH is going instead.

    Good morning

It’s errand and taxi day here. Shattered already after an erratic night’s sleep.
I have a short grocery list so am aiming for a quick top up shop first thing. I’ve stripped the bedding and will set the wm on when I get back. I’ll try to do a couple of other jobs then it’s back out to take DD to the dentist.
    Hugs all round. X
  • Morning all.

I've made an appointment I needed to get sorted so must remember to go to that.

    Can I come back please?
I disappeared as what was going on in my life was too horrible to talk about and I felt I couldn't carry on posting without mentioning it so it just felt easier to leave. I now need to learn to try and carry on in whatever way I can. My darling husband has now passed away and is free from pain and I need to learn to try and carry on as best as I can.

Oh my lovely .. you know we all love you dearly and are here if you need anything at all. Your new normal will come in time, be kind and gentle to yourself and just go with the feelings.. there is no right or wrong way to feel and cope.. just do what you need to. life is bloody unfair sometimes xxxx Many big squishy hugs xxxx

MrsMP my heart goes out to you. My story is so similar. Diagnosis and funeral just a few weeks later. It's devastating. Take time and all the time you need to grieve, this is YOUR loss. It takes time to find a new normal and it's not easy, do everything in your own time and in your own way. Enormous hugs.

Welcome and so sorry to hear of your sudden loss too.. I can't imagine the shock ever goes away even after 5 years! But happy to see you have a new way forward in life. These things are just so unexpected sometimes. My mothers friend went from fine to funeral in 3 weeks from a brain tumour.. its just so shocking, no time to even come to terms with any of it. (((hugs)))

So full of snot and germs today.. We also have another round of pukey bugs doing the rounds of the house on top of this hideous cold.. I want to eat my own body weight in stodge.. I had so much fruit yesterday I was certain I'd wake up as a chimpanzee!!!

Anyway.. Dots class assembly at school todya so we've been there. OH has half term week off! He had 79 holiday hours to use up before the ned of February so has all next week off.. We have a new set of urology appointments after a DS3 trip to A&E, His dermatology appointment is being chased as a new appointment was not sent after he refused to go because I couldn't go with him on 3rd January (I did phone and cancel) then we have his GIS appointments 70 miles away and his diabetes appointments too.. and he won't go to any by himself! I am exhausted! lol

Back room decorated as much as it can be at the moment. Kitchen is 75% repainted.. then I got this cold.. so it can wait until I feel better next week. Thankfully the back room furniture is out of the kitchen so I have some space. I am sorting through the childrens books as well to get some out of the house and make room for the newer ones. 3 boxes gone so far. I am sending one bookcase to DS1's too so that will make a bit more space.

I cleared the coat pegs in the corner and the girls are loving having pegs they can reach and I have no coats on the floor or the sofa! Definitely a winner!

Having the carpet off the landing is wonderful too.. 2years 3 months it was there!! It is now on the floor where it belongs!

Next job is emptying the middle room so I can repaint in there too! I will have a nice fresh looking house if it kills me!

I need lunch... toodles.. have a lovely day xx

So much progress, Piggers! I’m so jealous - my attempts at sorting out this house are creeping along painfully slowly. It seems to be one step forward and three steps back.

Small shop done and market visited for f&v. Hair washed, bathroom cleaned, bedroom dusted and swept, 2 loads of washing blowing nicely outside.
I just grabbing a quick bite then I’m off to pick up DD for her appointment.

Sorry for protracted absence; failing spectacularly where Flying is concerned, so feel a bit fraudulent coming here to post. But I realised it must be well over a week since I posted so thought I'd better just assure you all I aiten't dead. ;)

  • Hugs to all.

Yesterday I did get on with a frog and it is now finished and sent off so might even get a bit of money back soon. My in tray is under control, there are a few outstanding things but I know what needs to be done so just need to sit down and write a few letters etc. Also need to go to mobile phone shop and see why I pay different amounts for DDs contracts when they are the same, need to check on their site first as not sure that I shouldn't be paying them both at the higher price.

Cats taken to vets for annual jabs but need to take one of them back as it looks like he has diabetese. He's a stray we adopted so not sure we'll go down the treatment route but want to be sure it is that nothing something that is easily fixed.

Just had another quote for the garden work, we want most of our leylandi hedges removed and the remaining one cut nicely. Quite a bit cheaper than previous quote so feeling happy we might get the work done soon.

Only me at home so house has stayed tidy and very little cooking etc done so I have decide to attack the pile of papers waiting to be filed away. Some of them have been there so long that they've gone straight to the recycling. I now have piles all over the lounge floor to be put in the filing cabinet. Cat currently sitting on one pile as it's in full sun.

OH should be back from his travels at a reasonable time this afternoon so looking forward to that. Tomorrow is work all day so won't get much done but happy that a bit of progress has been made. My main priority is keeping on top of what has been sorted.

Time for more tea whilst I do my filing.
