If you have a car don't buy it. There are a lot of terraced housing in this area with no offstreet parking. Parking is going to be a nightmare.
https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-77948801.html This is the value of a 3 bed flat without offstreet parking.
So that makes the one you are looking at overpriced by about more than £20k. Not only that but it is a really poor design. How are you going to get any furniture into the master bedroom round that corner?
When you are looking at a property to buy do not look at the interiors like the kitchen and bathrooms or the decorations or flooring. All of that can be changed and also it might start off looking new but it won't be by the time you have lived there for several years. Look at the space and design.
Here is a two bed apartment with a garage and unsold at just under £170k https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-77187458.html so that suggests that it is overpriced. So that makes the one you are looking at even more overpriced.0 -

Yes, that’s the one.0 -
What about that 6 bed with no parking for £190k
Needs some work but if the rental market for rooms is good there is potential to create equity quicker.0 -
Its a lovely flat and I think is is worth more than the ones others have compared it too just because the outside looks so much nicer and it doesn't need anything doing to it. But not as much more as vendor is asking, however you being local will know the areas to compare and can make this decision better yourselves.
However there seems to be something wrong somewhere, my guess is parking. You say you live in the area have you been past at various times of the day so see if you would get a space and how far away that would be.0 -

I have to admit, I have been wondering about the practicalities of getting furniture into the property. But... the optimist in me thinks that it must be possible somehow, otherwise the current owner would have no furniture either. Also, there are built-in wardrobes in both of the bedrooms, which makes things a bit easier. It’s definitely something that we would have to think about carefully though.0 -

Thanks, it really is a beautiful flat and we love it, but a few things that other people have been saying on here have made me realise that we definitely need to do a bit more research before we consider putting a serious offer in.
One of the streets that is a permit area is right out the back of the property and hasn’t seemed massively busy whenever I’ve been there, but as you say, we’d need to check it out a few more times first.0 -
We have a conversion near us and the planning portal has some interesting relevant info, the developer want to put another floor on the building, one of the complains is from a resident saying they have not finished the job and the roof leaks.
Have a look at the planning portal for info.
good plans of the whole building.

How far round the back?
Have you imaged yourselves having to carry shopping from there into the flat entrances then upstairs to the flat, then go back if you couldn't manage it all.
I live in a terrace house and can't always park outside it. It really annoys me having to carry shopping from a few houses down, it would be even worse if I parked further away and had stairs to cope with as well.0
