POPLA appeal after naming driver help needed

Hi all
Long time member, had run ins with the 'local' ppc's and I don't know why I do, but for some reason, always offer to try & help out my local mates, even though I end up coming here for advice (head slap)!
Anyway, new situation (can't find on the sticky).
Friend has RCP app, always always pays to park via app. Car went in for repair, got hire/courtesy car, updated app with new vehicle details, paid to park as usual. Car repaired, courtesy car returned. Go to park in their own car, change app back to usual vehicle, pay to park. Gets back to car and ticket on windscreen, no payment recevied. The app didn't revert back to usual car and paid for the courtesy car which wasn't in possession (with evidence).
Friend didn't know about this site and sent a 'contact us' message to rcp saying that had paid for wrong vehicle and thought app had made error. RCP treated as an appeal and declined. Got POPLA code. Any advice please? Have evidence of rental period and all the app logs for her parking events? TIA

Prepare your PoPLA appeal following the guidance offered in post #3 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.
Who is the PPC?0 -
Appeal it to POPLA, but don't use anything you've put above, they will find against you.
Go to the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #3 to learn what wins at POPLA.
Have you complained to the landowner - can be a very successful strategy? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

And your thread title could be more useful.
A PoPLA appeal expert, if there is such a person, with a few minutes to spare is unlikely to pick your thread.0 -

There is a thread that tells Newbies to read it first. Third post in that thread is post 3 in the Newbies thread.0 -

Really? It's pretty unusual for a PPC to have a proprietary position.
I'm not doubting you, but have you sought definitive confirmation of this. Just issuing tickets at a location is no indication that the PPC owns the land. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Yes. Edit your opening post, Go Advanced, put what you want in the Title box.parkingmad wrote: »Sorry, good point, is there a way to change it?0 -

Are you sure about that? Does the car park serve any retail outlet, restaurants etc.? If so, ask them who the landowner is.0
