You are paying your solicitor to advise you. They need to give you advice
If i was advising you, i would look into the availability of indemnity insurance to cover the position. You should be able to get a quote within a few hours if your solicitor is any good....but your problem is that your solicitor isnt any good.
If you are getting a mortgage presumably your lender will need to be advised on the position by your solicitor - what are they doing about that?0
