It's always best to research before buying.

Just two of the quotes on Google
Goods not received, extremely difficult to contact customer services.

What was the price paid, and how did you pay? (Debit card, credit card, etc.)

Just to say ... you're entitled to a full refund of the monies paid, including the delivery cost (if any). Depending on their T&Cs (and when/how you saw them) you may be liable for the returns cost. The T&Cs shown earlier in the thread attempt to restrict your legal rights, therefore they are unlawful hence unenforceable.
  • Thanks for all your advice and replies, having offered me a 6 month credit note to be used online I requested a refund quoting my entitlement under the consumer contracts regulations and was immediately told I could have a refund as an offer of goodwill!! :)
  • Not just small companies flout toothless UK consumer legislation, Game, Currys and Virgin Media have zero respectfully for any consumer legislation and statistically it's more prudent to blow off 10,000s of customers and shell out for the occasional court case

A lot of tacky clothing companies have websites that end in .UK - doesn't mean they are UK sites.

In any event OP, people here will be able to give you far more help if you give the name of the company.

  • They're company t and C's can't supercede the law. So in this instance try are meaningless

This is in their T&Cs, although I think one point contradicts the previous one (my bolding)

  • That should read "Their" but mse mobile interface doesn't allow editing

  • Well done! I don't suppose they have changed their illegal t&C's, which is why companies don't respect them

The cheek! I had a company try to offer me a refund as a "goodwill gesture" a few years ago.

"No you won't!", I said. "You'll give me a refund because otherwise I'll sue you in court." Harrumph! :p

Glad you got the money back, though. :-)

Yeah -- I'll never forgive The Link for mis-selling phone insurance to me. Or, at least, make a recording the salesman. Mis-selling insurance is fraud -- a VERY serious crime.

Still, I learnt my lesson. Never talk to a salesperson or believe anything they say. Never buy from the High Street. And never buy insurance unless the loss would be catastrophic (e.g. buildings/contents, motor, medical, public liability, etc.).
