Well, here we are....... 1 year on. Tomorrow, 18th Feb. 2009, we will be discharged I am considering staying up until midnight to see our entries on the IS site change!

What a f***ing year it has been :rolleyes: But despite everything, all the carp that's been thrown at us, I don't regret a thing (well, possibly apart from getting into such a huge financial mess in the first place). For those of you just starting out on the BR journey..... don't be scared..... be proud of yourselves for taking the steps to getting your lives sorted out once and for all. Stick with this forum - it will be a HUGE help to you. There are some amazing people on here (you know who you are Fermi, Dalip, Richard, Tigerfeet, Phil, Debt Doctor, FYP, WDIAG, Peachy, Skylight, Merry, So Sad Angel and anyone else I've forgotten) and it's thanks to them that I haven't gone completely off my head in the last 12 months (only slightly instead ).

I've made the most amazing friend through this forum too - she and her H went BR/lost their house/moved into rented........ at pretty much the same time as we did and the support that you gain from knowing someone else really DOES know how you're feeling is immeasurable. That's why this forum, this little bit of MSE is such an amazing place. People starting on the bumpy road to BR are often as low and vulnerable as it's possible for a person to be and to have someone hold out a virtual hand and say "hey, it's okay, I'm here, I'll help you" can be, quite simply, a life-saver.

Right, I shall stop waffling now (stop that cheering at the back) before this turns into a Gwyneth-style-oscar-speech.
