    Hi Scarlett,

Ola from sunny Spain, :D   and only got time for a quick post.

A second interview is nothing out of the ordinary for a complex case, which covers all but the most straightforward of cases. It sounds as though they´re just tying up loose ends before they reccomend you for E.D, or their final report to creditors.

Its nothing at all to worry about, but I would certainly phone them and ask for both interviews to be on the same day and consecutively. They should be able to juggle their calendar to fit you both in. Thet won´t agree to seeing you at the same time over the phone, but they may well on the day.

My O.H point blank refused to be interviewed on her own, arguing that she knew nothing about our finances and it would be a waste of time.

I´m sure you´ve got nothing to worry about, and good luck for the interview. Try to make sure you´re "singing off the same hymn sheet" before you go. Any time spent rehearsing won´t be wasted.

    Best regards

    Rich
  • Aww, you're all fab. Thank you :D

My friend is going to come with me, if I need her to, no problem :)

BRU's just basically restrict your ability to get credit for 2-5 years. Now, if after all you've gone through you still want credit for a while I think you're mad...

Now, you should inform the OR that they are going to repossess your home ASAP, not after the fact, because the OR might decide to prevent it happening (because he wants control of the sale) and it will be expensive if s/he does so after it's already been reposessed.

Don't worry, I don't want so much as a pint of milk on credit if I can't afford to buy it with cash,

Not sure what you mean about the house to be honest  I actually did mention it to the OR yesterday on the phone, that it was being repo'd today and he said "about time" He said that the RTLU people had been chasing the mortgage co. for a settlement figure and getting no response. He realised then that this was because there won't BE a settlement figure until the house actually sells and we know what the shortfall is.

    Hi Rich :D

Oh, you lucky thing, on your jolly-hollies and bless you for taking the time to post, much appreciated :)

OR said yesterday that there were no available dates until the end of the month for us both to be interviewed one after the other and to be honest, neither of us wanting hanging over us for that long, so we're just going with it - H on Friday and me on Monday.

I did LOL @ the bit I've highlighted in bold though :rotfl: At this rate I'm not sure if we're EVER going to be discharged  He's considering me for a BRO too now (how kind) so I think we can safely wave goodbye to any chance of ED ;)

Am feeling a bit more "sod it" today - what's the very worst that can happen? A telling off maybe and a BRO........ and seeing that I have no intention of being a director of a company or a magistrate then really, it's not the end of the world

I'm still getting some rather unpleasant lurches in my stomach when I think about the interview (I have the OR as looking rather like Hannibal Lecter in my imagination) but looking on the bright side - this time next week it will be over.

  • hi
this happened to me and i was sick with worry , the or was really nice and he explained to me that because in the telephone interview i had said id paid family back money i had owed them just before bc they needed to have the interview to confirm the amounts which were under £500 and also to question some gambling online on my bank statements which my sons had done using my card , i had to sign a statement to say the figures were correct and i think this is why you have to go ,
try not to worry about it i was in a real state but felt like it was all over for once and for all after the interview, made me realise they are just ordinary people doing a job
    hope this helps

  • Afternoon all :)

A little update - the old house has finally been reposessed, as of yesterday 9th Sept. About <insert naughty word here> time eh? Hopefully they'll sell it quite quickly and that part can then be dealt with.

(Fermi - if you have a moment, could you please add my rambling "2nd interview" thread to this one please? Keep all my nonsense together then. I should have just put it on here in the first place, but I was in a flap and panicky ;) )

Molly - ours has taken almost a year  We last paid the mortgage in Oct. 2007....... so if you're with NR too, then don't be holding your breath now will you? ;)

  • Just a small one, am just flying out the door to get the kids from school. But Potless has just text, he's on his way back, took an hour and a half in total (so not too bad really I think). He said the interview was okay, he gave it 1/10 (1= absolutely fine and 10= nightmare awful) on the "terrible scale" but was told to expect a 5 year BRU. Gosh.

Anyway, just wanted to let all the lovely people that have supported us know. I'll post later with more detail when he gets back :)

Thats sounds about right for the gambling bit, may be a bit high but you did make it sound like there was a fair amount involved so it may be quite reasonable
Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all …………. :(
