Ryanair checked baggage prices

went to add baggage last week on to a flight from Manc to Palma 7th -14th Sept, £30 per bag per journey, lost connection. tried again today and it's £50 per bag per journey AND their link to baggage states 'new low prices' !!!
to add to the confusion, I went on live chat to query the price change and was told it was £40 per bag!
Twitter reply from @ryanair said there could be a £10 baggage supplement if flying at xmas/easter/summer. I asked what dates they considered to be 'summer' - no reply.
The live chat agent didn't want to answer about the price variations or the banner stating 'new low prices'
This really could be my last booking with them.

They lost £20million in the last quarter of last year, it seems they really need your custom.

their website shows £25 per bag (20kgs) if booked at same time as flight
or £40 if added on later

Ouch, especially if in summer hols - another reason.........
