Waiting 8m will have severely weakened any case she had, given that the damage allegedly happened within days. Say that you do not admit liability and that no further communication will be entered into. I doubt you'll hear from her again.
PS: have you checked with your neighbouring salons to see if she's tried this on before?0 -
That's what I think as well, she claims that she experienced hair loss a few days after the treatment but she has contacted me 8 months later, it all sounds too odd.
Id ask her why she didn't contact you sooner.
Ask some of the local salons if they have had a similar thing happen.0 -
I would say nothing & do nothing.
Ignore her.0 -
Has she got proof she actually used your salon? What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Don't get into any debates with her, just tell her to do what she wants and you will see her in court, it's not something she can win.0

Just to advise that there MAY be legitimate circumstances which have delayed her from bringing this up until after 8 months. For example, if she ended up with a serious illness around the same time then she obviously cannot bring it up quicker (esp if you are bed-bound etc).
It is, admittedly, far-fetched but you never know!
Aside from that, and EVEN IF the above is true, I would recommend referring her to Small Claims Court here. If she's got the evidence to win at court then she may actually deserve to be compensated for certain elements; which is fair enough. But, and this is the very likely outcome, if no evidence is available then the whole exercise will be futile and you'll win. Then the idea that no debt is owed is LEGALLY ESTABLISHED. The other possibility is that she won't submit a small claims court claim too.0 -
