  • Thanks, I'll give it a go. It's good you having a presence on here as I suspect I'd have just ended up going elsewhere otherwise.

    Eon Malc - I'm currently with E.on. but I'm a little confused.

I'm on the MSE Cheap Energy Club, I've put in my usage details. It shows that the Estimated cost of the Fix online v9 is £76/month.

Yet my Eon account shows a much higher estimation, of £94.89/month.

Any idea why this might be?

Edit: just realised my old address is on Cheap energy club. I've now updated it, and it's similar except for a few £s/year.

So, I can do this switch via cheap energy club if I'm a current customer. Can you 100000% guarantee me you won't switch me to Npower, take over my neighbours meter, or mess up my current E.on account in any way? :o:p

You'll literally just change the tariff on my current account, and I'll get cashback? I'll still have the same account number, login details, etc?

Hello CompletelyLost and I'm glad you were able to sort out the discrepancy with the monthly amounts.

Happy to confirm, as an existing customer, you can still switch to the Fix 2 Year MSE Collective Feb 2019 tariff through the MSE CEC. Other than the tariff, nothing will change. You'll have the same account number and log in details. You'll be eligible for cashback from MSE too.

Hope this explains CompletelyLost. Let me know if you need any more information as happy to help.

Thanks Malc, and sorry for the sarcasm. I've had so many bad experiences with energy companies.

I'm on the page to switch, the thing that's worrying me is the form questions are almost as if I'm a new customer (e.g. Credit check and requesting direct debit details).

Just want to make doubly sure that I'm filling out the correct form/info, as an existing customer?
  • I'll be interested in the reply to that as I've just done the switch and it did cross my mind too. That said, it did also have a comment re the importance of my name exactly matching my existing account name.

I'm assuming it's fine and that the process is just broadly the same (out of necessity or convenience) even for an "internal" switch.

No worries CompletelyLost. I know things can go wrong so understand your sentiments.

Just had a look at the page you mention and all seems fine. Please fill in the boxes the site is asking for and then 'proceed to switch.'

    Thanks CompletelyLost.

Sorry davidwatts. Think my reply to CompletelyLost must've crossed with your post. Hope my reply answers your query too.

Morning binao and welcome to the Forums.

Best option with us is to check out our website. If you've registered depends on things like the actual area, type of property, strength of the mobile phone signal and the current metering set up. We'll be in touch to see if you're eligible but don't worry if you're not. You can stay on the tariff even if it's a smart meter based product.
