Some very helpful suggestions. I am sorry to sound very thick which I am probably am when it comes to subjects like this but Inam still stuck. I have gone into the easy-YouTube-mp3.com site highlighted in post 8. I have followed the instructions and copied and get to the point where is ask you to download. This is where my predicament arises. There does not seem to be an option to download direct onto my so card which I have inserted into my USB port on my PC -f drive. Nor is there an option to put the item into my file manager my music or my windows media player. What am I missing. The same isssue seems to apply when I try the y2mate.com site mentioned in post 11. I am sure the solution is staring me in the face, but I cannot identify what I am missing. Thank you so much if anyone could point me in the right direction.0

If you've successfully downloaded the MP3 file, then it will be in your Downloads folder.
You need to open the File Explorer and navigate to Downloads (it should be one of the shortcuts on the left-hand side).
Find your MP3 file and highlight it with the Mouse. Click the right-hand mouse button and select Copy from the pop-up menu.
Then, go to the folder list on the LHS again, and find your SD card. (It'll be somewhere near the bottom). Click on it to open it. Right-click anywhere in the open folder area and select Paste from the pop-up menu.
That's about as simple as I can make it. If you are still stuck, I think you'll have to get someone to help you in person.
There are also YT tutorial you might find useful, like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPtk1kAYEuM0 -
I am on Windows 10. My PC is an Acer.My SD Card is a MicroSD. I have looked Nothing appears in my downloads for MP3 in my file manager. so I am continuing to struggle. What really confuses me, being as simple soul, is when I go into easy_youtube-mp3 site which seems ideal for my purpose the MP3 options which there are plenty but none of which appear to be what I need to get onto my SD card. Like Chris1447 (Post12) I must be another "Thicky". Thank you everybody for your most helpful advise. I will continue plugging away until get it right eventually. A good learning curve for me. If anyone has anything else to add that will be great, but unless a question is asked, I will not add anything more to this post You must all be fed up with hearing from me on this subject. i will just get on with it!!!0

Most of the converter sites work in a similar way. In the case of easy_YouTube_mp3, you copy the URL for your source video into the text box, and click "Convert Video".
The conversion may take a couple of seconds, and then a new screen appears with a blue "Download MP3" button. Clicking this button makes the actual download link button appear (this second button is green).
When you click the green button it starts an automatic download, and you will see some form of notification (usually at the bottom of the screen, depending on which browser you use). There are various reasons why this may not work, or may not have the desired result. If it doesn't work, you can operate the download manually by right-clicking the green button, and clicking "Save link as..." from the pop-up menu. Using the file dialog that pops up, you should be able to place the file directly on your SD card.0 -
I’ve just done this procedure no problems whatsoever.
Step 1. Easy YouTube MP3 site
MP3 Download button - Click
Step 2. Download Tab - located at the bottom of your screen
Save Button – CLICK ON ^
Click Save as
Step 3. Save As window opens
Left hand side of window - Scroll down to your sd card
Click on SD card
save file – name it whatever you want
That’s it your done.
If you don’t see your SD card then it is not registerd on your PC.
Let us know you if see the C: drive but not your SD card.0 -

As and far as I understand it is only illegal when you share the recording with others, either a copy or even by listening. Also different countries have different laws around it. Huge subject and endless legislation surrounding it.0 -
Unfortunately, in the UK, most things to do with infringement of copyright are illegal. The difficulty here is to know what items of YT content are copyright and which are either copyright-free, copyright-expired, copyright-unattributed or copyright-undefended.
I imagine that this complexity is why YT prohibits downloading of its content under its Ts & Cs.
There is content there (and elsewhere on the web) that has clearly been made available on a copyright-free basis, and I think the "safest" approach is to stick to that, and other content that you have acquired rights to by virtue of payment or membership of a particular service.
However, this is a complex area and it is beyond the scope of the forum to give definitive advice.0
