W10 update problem

Anyone have any ideas on this problem

Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803 - Error 0x80070020

done things such as following:

Services.msc - stopped: Background Intelligent Services, Superfetch , Windows Update
Deleted files in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download
Restarted above stopped services
Restarted Windows

Still same issue. Somewhat baffling as no matter what I do I can't seem to get passed it. Though my system is running okay I do get messages that Edge is not up to date and I can't find a way to update it because the above issue returns that message when trying to update.

Have you tried disabling your AV and giving it another go?

Sorry not quite sure what you mean by that but I guess your referring to 1803 vs 1809.Taken a look at it now and trying to do updates doesn't allow me past 1803. To get to 1809 I guess I would have to do a reinstall.

Your update suggests an update for W10 v 1803 , the "fall" update is 1809 and is now stable

Yes I see lots about it now being stable but I think the only way to get that on PC is by reinstall as the update doesn't allow me to get to it.

Hope it works. If it doesn't, try the second method (as already suggested by Everywhere) :- Use the tool to create the installation media.
For some reason the media method has been more reliable (for me.)
